Really? Then you're not looking.

There seems to be new activity with regard to album creation. For one, the Members Album category in the Gallery is now unlocked! Also, there appears to be a new administrator listed under Staff. Hopefully this trend will continue into the New Year.

If you want to change your display name try going to your ACCOUNT SETTINGS page and clicking on the DISPLAY NAME tab (if this is available to you).

The posting rules for the NWF were created to keep the playing field level, fair, and chaos free. I will reiterate what was said before, those rules will remain in place as long as I am moderator of that forum OR I am directed to change them by a higher authority (which is not you, Sanford). The Gallery is freely open for submissions and several other fora are available for posting, for those who are unable to comply.

I would recommend that we all take a positive and patient view of this situation and I understand the frustration that it is causing. However, it is quite obvious that I can create Albums for myself and I suspect this can also be done for other members. Why I have this ability and others do not is unknown but my being a moderator is probably the reason. I am (and have been) reaching out for a solution to this situation so please stand-by. I would appreciate if other moderators would PM me so that we might arrive at a joint solution. I would also like to add that I am not paid for any of this and I am doing it out of my unbounded love for this miracle of the internet ;0)

Interesting. How about Creative Live?

Could be a browser issue?

Sure, I simply selected the image and then moved it to the album. I have a strong feeling that this site is still being updated and tweeked. It may take some time before everything is as it should be and that a good mesure of patience should rule the day.

Also, what I find interesting is that my newly created albums now also appear in the Gallery Categories!
-
What would be really helpful here is a complete updated user manual for this site. Would the Admins please create one for us? (notice I said please).
-
I thought that might be the case. No problem. Regards.

However. Sanford needs to creat a new album because it seems that he has not done that. Once the album is created it will show on his profile page.
-
The first link in Dustin's post takes me to Sanford's profile page. The second link takes me to my own page. This site really does need some attention.

I can not say if this is totally correct or even if it helps the OP's problem but in any case, regarding our personal galleries that existed on the old site it seems that now we have ALBUMS. I was able to move several of my uploaded images, as a test, to a newly created album. I was able to name this album Flowers-Trees-Gardens. The moved images now appear in this album similarly to how they apperaed in the gallery that was on the old site. In addition, the albums appear under a new tab on my profile page : Activity, Images, Albums. Regards.

Perhaps this has been fixed already but I did not have any problem deleting an image from my portfolio. Under my profile I selected IMAGES and found one that I wanted to remove. I then selected DELETE. This put the image into a que. I then selected DELETE PERMANENTLY and it was gone.

Thanks Sandy for reiterating this information. These guidlines have been in place for many years, even before my tenure as moderator, and are listed in a "sticky" thread at the top of the NWF. What confuses me is why people ignore them.

Incorrect interpretation of PN rules by moderators
WJT replied to Karim Ghantous's topic in PhotoNet Site Help
Karim, the offending post has been deleted. The terms of use only permit the image owner to post an image. The link that you posted opened automatically to the image so it appeared that you had directly posted the image, which would not have been permitted on this site. Perhaps a better way of referencing another's images is needed in the future. Regards.
