  1. sorry vertical lines. i am pointing out the camera from the window to downstairs to shoot the buildings etc. but there is quite a bit of distortion of vertical lines which i dont get this distortion with my mamiya rz 110mm lens.

i am very surprised if this kind of distortion accepted normal for 150mm rodenstock .

  2. What camera would you advise to use this lens?

I posted several questions regarding telephotoshooting with 4x5 camera and it looks like large format is not an ideal format to shoot with long lenses because of the physical issues.

I shoot nite time long exposures with my mamiya rz67 with 350mm apo lens. It works great but i need a big negative to print really big. thats all.

  3. Which camera is best to use this long lens?

I am so interested in shooting with long and/or tele lenses and according to my

research this is the lens for my focal lenght and budget that I m looking for.

I found the lens but have no clue which camera will be best for this?

I shoot nite time long exposures(more than a minute) so it shouldnt be a shaky

set up. I am a mamiya rz67 user and never shot with 4x5. Looking for a big

    negative for huge prints.

Can you name 4 camera options please. thanks.

  4. i shoot with mamiya rz 67 wth 350mm apo lens. i get nice results but i want to shoot the same focal lenght with 4x5 camera without too much hassle, set up or anything like that. i shoot nite time and use tripod all the time. if i cannot get exactly the 175mm focal lenght in 35mm , i would like to get the closest focal lenght .
  5. i use mamiya rz 67 and thinking about stepping up to large format, 4x5. and i was wondering if i will be able to see the difference?

with my mamiya rz67 i get excellent results but i never blow up a pic to 40"x50". and thats what i am planning to do so, should i try 4x5 or rz67 will be good enough. thats the main question actually. because people say 35mm and mf lenses are sharper then lf lenses. i know there are other facotrs like enlarging the negative so i am trying to figure out the difference.

  6. I am medium format user but would like to step up to large format world. I

would like to buy a new camera but it should be under $2000 including a good

lens with a focal lenght of 50mm in 35mm format.

I was looking at fotoman 45ps and was wondering what would be the disadvantages

of not having a movement in a large format?

I use Mamiya rz67 and it works great for me so far. the reason i would like to

step up to large format is for the bigger negative.

I shoot city, urban scenes from a distance at nite times.

    Thanks.
