    Church Windows

Larry - at the risk of repeating what others have already said - the combo of indoors and outdoors is great, and very subtly done. At first all I saw was the great stained glass colours, then the outdoors crept up on me slowly. Very nice work. Best wishes - Peter.

    The light at sunset

Sidsel , Beautifully done. The execution is impressive, the imagination behind it - even more so. Best wishes, Peter.

    25 Hours to Solstice

Brr. I was kayaking on the northern edge of Lake Huron in September and that was already chilly. The cold just seeps out from this image. Beauty. Best wishes - Peter.

    Flying Around

Rosario There isn't a single bad shot in your portfolio. But this one especially made me smile - lovely combination of tranquility and wild movement. Wonderful. Best wishes - Peter.

    Hippo fight

Hippos and crocs both account for big game human deaths. Anyway, you caught just the right moment. Great pic. Best wishes - Peter.
  6. Gerald - the sepia toning , brown edges and post-card feel suit the subject perfectly. Add great composition and lighting. Very, very good work. Congrats - Peter.

    Fireman-web

Ken - This ones a real eye-catcher. The part that is most intriguing for me is the man's face, his air of concentration and the complexity of levers in front of him. If you focused in on that, cropping out the lower part of the picture would that be a worthwhile composition? Regardless - I like this one. Congrats - Best wishes, Peter.
  8. Very thought-provoking imagery, Chris. Powerful. Best wishes - Peter.

    Encircled

Tuhin - very nice image. I'm guessing a closer focus wasn't possible, in which case I'm with Tony H's comment - maybe crop out the aqua element on the left. For me it is a minor distraction. Regardless, nice image. Best wishes - Peter.

    The Look

    Beautiful capture - congrats. Peter
  13. Lovely shot Giangiorgio! Would a close up of just the egret and the ox have been possible? Might have been very intersting, but perhaps they were too far away for that detail? It's great anyway. Well done. Best - Peter.

    evening walk

Leslie - Many thanks for taking time to comment. I was kicking myself after uploading it for not calling it "tranquility". Glad that word came to your mind too. Also, your comment let me discover your "Storm Waves" photo. Congratulations on that one. Great shot. Peter

    maitre d'

Wayne - beautifully done - not just the "canvas" effect but the colour palette choice - blues and browns with the bright spots of light drawing and leading the eye - fine art indeed! Regards, Peter

  23. I'm only now realizing that this was an Editor's Pick in 2015. Well, I've been slow to realize it, and slow to say thank you to the editor(s), but I hope a late thank you is better than none: thank you! Peter.
