I had to be lying on the ground to get this shot but fortunately, I had a very large garbage bag on which I could prevent any invasion of the creepy insects. I am saddened that so many have migrated from Photo.net but on the bright side I am encountering them in another 'online media'.

I'm glad to see your new photo. A wonderful sunset scene! I like colors, contrast and dynamics. Do not understand what kind of plant it is? And yet, I laughed at your response to previous comments, because I also use garbage bags in the same way. Very necessary thing! Regards, Tatiana

Many thanks for all of the positive comments. As you probably know, I do not participate at photo.net as often as I did in the past and if truth be told, despite it's problems, I do miss the old site. We do live in a world that changes rapidly and we have to learn to adapt otherwise we will be left behind.

Sadly not all change is good and many great photographers left the site. It seems that the Gods that run the site dint care and they clearly don't value the opinion of the little people like us photographers. What's the point of having a contact box if you do not reply?

Tony, I'm already sad that several people I've followed before the advent of PN 2.0 are either no longer active or no longer on the site at all. As discouraged as I've been from time to time, which resulted in quite a few posts on Site Help, emails, and personal messages, I'm starting to see some improvements. Now, on with the show - - - This abstract is simply a brilliant piece of work. It traverses the distance between the representational world and the world of fantasy, and back again. Love the vivid warm tones which contrast perfectly with the black detail of the tree. - - My best, michael

Tony, I love the silhouette of this flower against what appears to be the setting sun and I'm sure you had to get pretty low to capture that so I applaud you on your success! LOL. 

So sad you are not here and I hope you come back. I'm sorry I've been away so long but if we ever get the chance to talk again I'm sure you will understand why. Take care and congrats on a beautiful photo! I need to get my camera out and dust it off... so much has changed...
