Yes. It is a Chihuly glass scupture in the Indianapolis Children's Museum. A similar photo by someone else won an award in one of the popular photography magazines. Photo.net member Becky Brill has even better shots of this scupture in her portfolio at www.photo.net/photos/brillb

Bravo

Nice soft lighting. She looks really beautiful, but her expression seems somewhat blank. Nonetheless, I really like how her hair frames her face and how you lit her hair. Good job.

The young lady was holding a camera searching for subjects, while the
older man appears to have found a subject. Please let me know if you
have similar photos in your portfolio. I find them funny. Thanks.

Serendipity shot taken while on a bus tour of Montreal at a sociology
conference. Comments welcome.

An old building in a Houston neighborhood that serves as place for
people to meet, dance, and drink (as long as they bring their own).

This setting really highlights the model's beauty. I also like the textures.

Like the curving green and black lines behind the kids and read stairs, but you might try cropping the foreground a bit more. Looks like their is a hole in the front lower left corner. I hope you have other shots of those rolling hillsides.

Thanks for the clarification.

Shot could be improved. Not sure how, but I hope to get another better shot when I return to Houston. Thanks.

Very funny. Good use of lighting as well. By the way, if you ever want to take the time to mark up one of my photos to show me how I can improve. Go right ahead. Happy New Year!

I like all the angles in the shot, such as her arms, the mike stand, the light beams. I would like to see the shadows handled better and see her eyes, but those would be tough to get from this perspective.

Makes me wonder about the neighborhood that such a worn mailbox is kept locked.

It was Walker Evans. Thanks for the correction and compliments.

This photograph reminded me of Robert Frank's photograph of
photographs in a portrait studio window. This shot may be weak on
technique, but I think that it has interesting subjects that tell a
universal story about time. What do you think?

A classic shot of the Seine, with wonderful leading lines, but a bit busy. A shot with fewer people might be better. What was your intent in making this photograph? It makes me reminisce about spending rainy days in Paris walking along the Seine. (And I've never been to France!)

Good capture. You made a picture of picture that someone made of someone making a picture. I suppose this depicts our common human need to make pictures. Nice!

She is so beautiful and her concentration is so complete. I also like the blurred foreground and background and the way her colleague is barely visible. What is she doing?

My mother-in-law has turned her piano into an album. Guess which one is my wife.

Looks like hardwork. Well put together and the B&W accentuates photo's earthiness. You dont' shoot like a beginner.
