Cemeteries fascinate me.

Shadows in the snow

A roadside scenic viewing areas alongside a Northern California
highway, unavailable to people in wheelchairs. I tried to show the
story.

I love the lighting, redness in the caps and lips, and flesh tones of the face. Also a wonderful expression. What did the subject say about this photograph?

Where is Adam?

The wonderful lighting does an awesome job of capturing your skin tones and texture. However, what does the model's pose and facial expression convey to viewers? To me, it looks as if the model is turning her gaze away from the viewers gaze. Should we turn away too, even as the photo's beauty compels us to look? Finally, I like the how the crop prevents viewers from seeing too much.

Trying to capture the energy of a failed rally at the end of a game.

Wonderful use of the color red and shoes which tell us more about the model than her sheer beauty. She is a runner, who refuses to be framed simply. Her beauty is something that she earns. What a wonderful storytelling shot!

An awesome shot that reminds me of a shot by some famous street photographer of women talking on a park bench. What makes this shot work so well? The lines of course made by the wooden floor, arms, and bench back provide structure. Seven is also a special number, which works well here because everyone is in a dyadic conversation, except for one person at the end of the photo. She is the odd woman out. Finally, expressions on the faces and bright colors are wonderful. Thanks for sharing, this photo reminds me to be alert for linear interactions.

Great depth of field and way to capture a decisive moment. I am not sure that the mourning dove is feeding the house sparrow. Indeed, I think that the smaller bird may be telling the big bird to wait for his or her turn.

I cropped the top and sides but not the bottom. By the way, I discovered photo.net after seeing some of your photos in a book on how to do digital travel photography that I got from a local library. It's interesting how easy it has become to converse with people who I used to only read about. Thanks for the comments.

I appreciate your comments.

One artist shoots another artist. I like how the setup echoes the
painting. What do you think?

Looks like you captured a decisive moment.

This photo reminds me of some fine art paintings. It is nice that it is recognizable, but abstract, and the shot seems to emphasize the delicacy of each petal. Well done.

One of the few shots that I previsualized. Please let me know what
you think and I will reciprocate.

Wonderful compostion. I love how the door opens onto the world. A metaphorical and lyrical picture. You also do a wonderful job of framing a frame; the door frames the outside and the darkness frames the door. A more spectacular view is the only improvement that I might suggest, but that might undermine the photo's subtly. Great shot!

I really appreciate you taking the time to comment on a little family photo.

I agree with Margaret. The bird is so sharp and wings so interesting that this is a keeper.

Here goes: The lake looks a little washed out by the glare. Did you use a polarizing filter? The shadows cast by the boat and tree lack detail and merge together. A good idea that warrants improvement. What does this place look like at dawn or dusk? Perhaps bracketing would be helpful? By the way, the second best way to get comments is to give comments.
