i like this shot. looks like your model is resigned to face whatever fate life brings her?
-
and you even used an 8X ND filter and still this much discrepancy? hmm, wow.
-
nice expressive eyes! i think think they need to be a bit more in focus here (perhaps use USM). on further viewing, i think the focus is on her right eye. also, there are quite a few white spots that are larger than the normal b/w pixelation that are a tad annoying (at least on my screen). for example just medially to her right eye, they extend from right below her eyebrow to the bottom. perhaps cloning them out might help.

interesting mix of various lighting here. might want to play with levels in PS to get rid of the slight brightness.

uwe - thanks for reminding me of Fachwerk. i tried and tried but couldn't remember.
-
now that's an interesting subject. pretty cool with all the reflections. and nice blue sky!
-
nic kid portrait.. i like the little bubble coming out of his mouth. however, i think a simpler b/w frame would be better.
-
i like the green hues here. idk if its the focus/compression/my monitor/picture size, but the image seems somewhat soft.
-
nice shot with tricky lighting, no doubt. perhaps underexposing it a tad and using PS to get details in the shadows? also, you could crop somewhat horizontally, giving more of a panoramic view and getting rid of the hot sky on the top left.
-
interesting set of folk here. i think the focus is a bit off though. i like this in b&w.
-
please resize as per PN guidelines. i would prefer to have seen a bit more of the railroad tracks. also, i think the image has a slight blue cast to it - i would prefer it more neutral/gray.
-
excellent DOF here. i assume you used a star filter for the lights? the toning on the brick road is excellent. i think, though, i would like to see the shadows a tad more in detail and more exposed - perhaps using PS shadow recovery. other than that, great capture!

all of my little cousins her age spite me. they are all around 5-6 yo and lil' brats! and of course i love to tease 'em in turn!
-
wonderful colors here. cant decide if i like the bit of orange at the top or not. i guess it breaks up the color scheme some!

looks like a beautiful place. unfortunately, the flare (or is it ghosting) takes a tad away from its effectiveness. nonetheless, i still think its quite good! this pic to me is screamin' out b&w!
-
good lookin' cat there. i would perhaps crop out that dark vertical thing on the far left - is that another animal?
-
TC, so basically we were your lab rats?
-
although i like the perspectivev of the 4 "pans", i would prefer a shot which crops in more on the artist and the currently worked on object.
-
-
great DOF and being there at the right time!
-
a first order approximation...
-
interesting capture of momentary flight. i would perhaps crop the image both vertically and horizontally to zoom in more on the player. also, using auto levels/contrast would definitely improve the washed out look (it worked for me in PS using this image).

interesting locale. this shot to me is screaming infrared!
