quite an interesting shot. i would have taken this just a few moments before so from the viewer's perspective, the man was just to the left of the barn. that way, the man could be on the lower left, the barn/silo on the upper right instead of a vertical placement as currently exists. also, i might have taken the shot from a bit lower perspective as well, thus including the legs and even the feet (though that to me doesn't matter as much). i definitely like the time of day u shot this as well as the narrow DOF.

i really like the drops on this shot. however, the foreground at the bottom is distracting somewhat. how about doing a panoramic style crop?
-
it reminds me of the landing bay on the Battlestar Galactica.

david...does 7/7 constitute for "above average"? *laugh* ;)

nice use of diagonals.

cool image. too bad we cant see the face of the girl on right. even though the other commenter states its a bit overworked, i think it has an air of timeless nostalgia to it.

boy, that is definitely a bright reddish-orange tuba!

pssst...b&w...actually digital infrared...

i like it - like a simple yet elegant painting.
-
outstanding shot here! how did you do the IR(?) conversion? i agree with the other commenter about the stick sticking (that's what sticks do) out of the cactus. i hope you have a nice 20x16 printed of this!

robert, precisely. at least IMHO.

of all your flower pics, i think this is my favorite. i like the starkness of the black background.
-
i like the effect here, but the focusing is soft.
-
tres cool. you could even crop out that curve at the bottom and have a "panoramic" length shot. i just now realized what we are looking at (i didnt read the title...)

good "abstract" with great lighting!
-
very effective portrait - good lighting and composition. the only minor suggestion i have is cloning out the change in wall color on the far left side - no need to call attention to it. or you could just crop it off, thought that might be a tad too close to the watch/wrist.

i think he's sleeping! i would perhaps crop a bit more tightly about him, especially at the top, even though it wont stay as much in the "traditional" size.
-
how bout like this. ignore my lassoing skills, i did it in like 8 seconds, and i also managed to chop off the tip of his nose ;) ...

i like the composition and the lighting in this shot save for the man's face in the foreground. i would like to see a few more details and more light there. if you have PS CS, perhaps using the shadow/highlights tool on the face might help. other than that, this shot works quite well.

extremely vivid colors! i love the joy and excitement presented here (and i am usually not a big fan of kids as my friends will atest to!). the bubbles add the final touch of connection amongst the figures. i like your "rough" framing border at the top, though i think you cut off a few of the kid's fingertips (the one who's back is to the viewer). or, maybe they are there, but too faint and blend in with the white framing.

pete, i didn't even notice them until you mentioned them ;) i kept looking up at the tower.
