digital11 0 Posted June 14, 2004 I'm an amateur photographer looking into starting a studio. Just looking for constructive criticism and feedback of whether I should give professional photography a go. Link to comment
jonathan_proulx 0 Posted June 14, 2004 excellent use of lighting. It took me a while to figure out how she's arranged. Quite nice balannce of light and shaddow, curves and lines. At first I though her face should be in focus, but I think you'd loose the beautiful sense of abstraction you have here. Is it marketable, can you make a living off of it? Hell if I know, but I wish you luck. Link to comment
tony_p4 1 Posted June 14, 2004 A beautiful and quite original work of art. I think just about everything has been said already here. On turning professional, well I'd never tell anyone not to. But remember you need business experience if you do and to make the right contacts. A starving artist is a nice thought but not good if you can't afford materials and studio facilities. Have you considered turning semi-pro to start you on the ladder and to see if you can put up with shooting what others want and not always what you want to shoot? Good luck whatever you choose.
