katie_pype
Took out both of these today, the Rollei on a dog walk and the Leica around my house. I was too eager to see little spots of sun outside and took some FP4, most came underexposed! Too many clouds and shade still. Bummer. Took the Leica with some HP5 and took better care to not underexpose. It'll have to wait another day to finish the roll. Next I think I'll give my F2 some love.
Rick_van_Nooij
Found my copy of "How to clean old Leica Lenses and Accessories" by Nobby Sparrow. Set about cleaning my 28mm Hektor. Managed to clean all the air-spaced surfaces. Guess what's ready to be tested this upcoming week/weekend?
Fiddlefye
Not the weekend but I was out shooting this afternoon with these friends and some HP5. DSC_7905 by fiddlefye, on Flickr
Mike Gammill
When I start a new bulk roll I always load a short length (12) for a quality check and to optimize developing time. My roll of 12 exposure HP5+ is going in my XE-5 for a quick test.

rick_drawbridge
A little medium format work this weekend, using the Zenza Bronica S2A. Here's a pic of the camera fitted with the lens I seem to use most, the 135mm Nikkor-Q f/3.5.
kmac
Beautiful camera Rick. I love medium format
rick_drawbridge
Beautiful camera Rick. I love medium format Yes, the old Bronica is a lovely camera, far more stylish than the Hassy, and the results are right up there, too. Medium format requires quite a bit more concentration and effort than prancing around with a 35mm camera, in my opinion, and I sometimes wonder if the quality upgrade is worthwhile when the results end up as little things on the internet, but I love the procedures involved.

Mike Gammill
Putting a roll of FP4+ in this little guy Selenium meter is still accurate.
Rick_van_Nooij
No luck last weekend with the fourth storm hitting our country in as many weeks. I managed to take 3 frames with that IIIc + Hektor setup I showed you last week. Forecast for next weekend is "It gon rain!" :( I hope it'll improve, because I'm looking at a re-enactment weekend in Belgium.
Rick_van_Nooij
Still a lot of rain expected this weekend. Still, better than last year when it stormed. As I'm expecting some low light I've exchanged the 2.8cm Hektor for a 5cm f/1.5 Summarit on the Leica. Will be shooting Fomapan 100 all weekend, and probably some .45ACP blanks as well. For sake of traveling light, I'm not really planning to carry any other cameras.

Mike Gammill
Still got film in B35, but also have SRT 101 with Rokkor 24-50 and HP 5+. If needed a Tamron 70-210.
rick_drawbridge
Another old favourite this weekend, one of the heaviest and best-finished SLRs I own, the Minolta SR--3 from around 1960. The lens is the fine 58mm Auto Rokkor PF f/1.4.
katie_pype
My very new to me Leica M2. I haven't even held an M until I got this one in the mail. Came with an adapted Summitar f!/2 which was very clean and coated. Looks a bit rough on the outside but mechanically it runs through all speeds no problem. Already ran two test rolls through, and the negatives are drying right now. They look very promising! I need to stop buying before using what I have lol. This should stop the GAS, for now...
Mike Gammill
Although I have 8 Minolta SRTs of various models, I'm using the only one that I actually purchased new. Still going strong after all these years. SRT 201 with Takumar 35mm f 3.5 via M42 adapter. I will start, though, with the MD Rokkor 50mm f 1.4. HP5+

rick_drawbridge
I'm working my way along the Canon shelf and this weekend I'm exercising the Canon AE-1 Program. The AE-1, released in 1976, was a true icon that changed photography forever with it's use of a microprocessor, and the Program version added a program AE mode five years later.
Moving On
The AE-1 was my first introduction to a 35 mm camera. My Dad got one in 1976. I remember being fascinated with the split image focusing screen. I also remember this commercial.....
Mike Gammill
And a great introduction, Moving On. My family had a camera shop in those days and for a while the AE-1 was one of our best selling SLRs. In those days you could add dedicated flash and autowinder, but you could still enjoy the camera just fine without the winder or with a non dedicated flash. Manual settings also made it an attractive option for photography students who wanted an automatic camera to use when not using manual settings in class. The A series was well though out, although I always felt the AT-1 (should have had a mechanical shutter) and for some reason some of them wouldn't work properly unless fed a steady diet of silver oxide batteries. The other A series worked fine on alkaline, Other worthy competitors that we sold (also offering autowinder and dedicated flash) were the Olympus OM-10, Minolta XD-11/5. Minolta XG-7, and Konica T4,
