  1. Hi Peter. Beats me. I can't figure the thing out either. You can e-mail me at lgreenbaum2@gmail.com Thanks.
  2. Trisha, Sorry for the long delay in responding to your welcome visit. This is the first time I have looked at the image since you did. I am a big fan of BC and of Vancouver Island. After this Victoria visit, my wife and I drove to Tofino on the island's west coast. Wow, what wonderful wild country that is. Thanks again for looking at my images. Larry
  3. Peter, Thanks for your visit. The flowers are hydrangeas. I leave them alone until spring as the dried blossoms look nice in the snow. This image was taken during a late afternoon March snowfall. My wife and I were just talking about a trip to the Danube countries, especially the Czech Republic and Hungary. I appreciate knowing you are from Slovakia. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks again for your comment. Larry
  4. David, Many thanks for your helpful response. Your interestingness images are wonderful. I especially like the birds, owl, and coyote shots. The bokeh in these telephoto shots is excellent, and there is not any visible noise even though you shot most of these at ISO 1600 or 3200. I think you are saying that DxO Optics Pro is best used as a stand-alone since it can retrieve images from LR's catalog. I look forward to seeing more of your images. The new PN website has me frustrated as it is so complex. Are your images safe from theft Flickr? I notice you have a signature or watermark on each image. Thanks again, David. Larry
  5. What are your experiences with DXO Optics Pro 11? I heard about it, reading about the top apps for noise reduction. I watched a video in which it seems to resemble Nik Software with updates. Reviews are laudatory, and the price is high, $199 US for the elite edition and $129 for the standard edition. Does the entire app of tools work as a plugin to Lightroom or just the noise reduction? Can it be loaded as both a plugin and as stand alone software? Will it search files in the LR catalog? Is it nondestructive? Any of your experiences and opinions are appreciated. Thanks. Larry
  6. HI Christal, Nice to connect with you again. Cuyahoga National Park is a 22 mile narrow stretch alone the Cuyahoga River between Cleveland and Akron. As such, it is an urban national park, created as a recreation area in 1984 by President Ford when there was an interest in preserving forests. It became a National Park in 2000. You may want to look at Jack Dykinga's book, Capture the Magic. He has a couple images of Blue Hen Falls in autumn. I was glad to see the falls on a family trip to Cleveland even though it was a monochromatic time of year. Thanks again for your visit.

Holger, I agree that this image generates a sense of relaxation. The drummer is most relaxed. I also think that the picture of the boats in the bacround really sets the image up well. Nice image. Larry
  8. Holger, A nice bit of whimsy here. I like the shallow depth of field. Nice image. Larry
  9. Clayton, I too like this image, especially the columnar reflections. But, I can't understand why the man is looking away from the ball toward the rear of the image. Larry
  10. Holger, This is an interesting street image that works well in B&W. As I look at it, it appears to get softer in focus toward the rear. Is this intended? Larry

    Blue Hen Falls

Winter lingers in the March forest as daffodils sprout less than a mile away. This view of the upper Blue Hen Falls is a variant on the other two images with it. Your comments or preference of the images is appreciated. Thanks. Larry

    Blue Hen Falls

In the forest, winter hangs on even though daffodils have sprouted less than a mile away. Your views of this small, but exquisite fall are appreciated. Larry

John, Funny. An excellent study in contrasts. Well shot and converted to B&W. Larry
  15. Holger, You get a star for the terrific detail, texture, and color in this image. This looks like an aquarium. You did well shooting through the glass with no reflections. Larry
  16. Peter, Wonderful image with great reflections. This is a demonstration of an excellent wide angle shot. The thumbnail on the web site doesn't show the image at all. Grrrrr....this website. Larry
  17. Holger, Thanks for your visit and comment. I think this new site generates less visits and comments. It's so cumbersome. This is one of those images that is a "grab your camera" and shoot. Dusk was about an hour away and the snow was still falling. Thanks again. Larry
  18. Hi Holger, This building reflects the old class of Newport. Yes, windows have a way of speaking as do the bricks in this image. The open windows clinch the image for me. The building leans back a bit, which doesn't bother me, but could be corrected in PS, especially if space were allowed around the image to compensate for needed cropping. This is a minor, minor detail. Nice image, Holger. Larry
  19. This is an oldie that I revisited. Your opinion is appreciated.

    March 12

Spring had sprung early in Minnesota only to have March return to January. Perhaps the groundhog will still be good to us. Your views are appreciated. Larry

Clayton, Nice composition. The v shape guides the eye well. Larry
  23. Kamala and Patsy, thanks for your visits and nice comments. Lake Minnetonka is two miles from my house. Since the sun was going down, I stopped for a cold, quick image on my way home from a meeting. As usual, my cell phone was the only camera I had with me. Larry
  24. Holger, Thanks for looking at this image. Monitorwise, I use a 27" 1Mac. The large image is really helpful with PS and LR. Thanks for the compliment. Larry
  25. Excellent composition and reflections. Larry
