  1. Recent one of our back yard , Kowa Six TL , HP5+ in HC-110 , with the 150mm lens . Not hard to understand why the tree is called a Contorta :) . Peter
  2. Recent Pentacon Six TL with my Mir 26 (45mm) lens on some expired Acros ! Train bridge over the Fraser river between New Westminster and Surrey ,B.C. Not a minute later a train crossed over , Holy Crap , was that Loud ! Peter
  3. Quality control as only the former USSR can deliver , I got rid of my Flektogon ( it was really awful ) and replaced it with (guess what ? ) the 45mm MIR and couldn't be happier , go figure :) . Peter
  4. You're going to love this , just today I dropped in at Beau Photo in Vancouver and saw 2 Kowa Six 2's and a Kowa Six , all in good working order :) . Pity I didn't see these 1/2 year ago . Peter
  5. Good choice I'd say , having used one almost non stop for over half a decade . Before spending any further money , might I suggest a thin plate of glass over the negatives and then scan . Sometimes with slide film you may get Newtonian rings and sometimes not . It works surprisingly well for me . Peter
  6. Possibly it time to get another back and return to the original when there's something more photo worthy with the unfinished film :) . Peter
  7. ^ Well , that's one delightful picture :) ! Peter
  8. ^ One of the reasons it was so popular with astro-photographers decades ago :) . Peter
  9. "Ricochetrider" , You get way too many pictures of my misspent youth :D:D , Iron head Sportsters , etc ! Peter
  10. Must say though Joe , a year or so ago I got the ingredients , real ascorbic acid , digital scale etc. and got good results right off the get go .Must be my age , but I don't find the aroma offensive :) . But it's sure a lot quicker to use HC-110. To each his own , Regards, Peter
  11. A much better idea however would be to mail it to me :) . Peter
  12. And then there's some of us (me) , that carefully ( I thought ) backed up all his negative scans and stored them on a thumb drive ! Drum roll ,hard drive failed and yeah all 1400 of them were there , but only identified with a jpg # , crap , who was to know what else you were to do ? Every picture was identified with camera type and date . Ain't technology great ? Peter
  13. Now I'm going to have to go back through some pics and see if I can find some from my Welta Weltur . They're sure a lot easier to cart around than the other medium format cameras I slug to foreign countries ( telling myself I just know I'm going to need a selection of lens , practically never :( ) . Peter
  14. It never fails to amaze me the quality ( and detail ) these older medium format cameras can record ! Peter
  15. ^ A little lock down picture taking with the Kowa Super Sixty Six and HP5+ . And some Pampas grass from my wife's garden :) . Peter
  16. That, and the price ( in Canada ) are the reason my fridge is loaded with it in 120 format :) . Peter
  17. And not letting the wind lever snap back :) . Peter
  18. ^ These are the follow-ups I enjoy . Bookmarked for future reference . Peter
  19. Almost unbelievable , I rode to Laconia on Bsa's , Sportsters and Moto Guzzi LeMans for 25 years from the middle 70's to 2000 , and hard tail Panheads were prolific :) . Peter
  20. It's beginning to sound promising ! Peter
  21. ^^ Anything that gets better with old beer cans has my vote :D:D:D !
  22. And if you sometimes have the same luck as I do , the parts camera you buy is better than the one you're fixing :) . Peter
