kickass photo!
How on earth did you get this shot? Is this pasted together in photoshop? Or some clever long exposre with multiple strobes? Although that does't explain the audience.

fisheye 8mm

Mark, from the reflection in her eyes it looks like he just used one strobe reflected off something large or through a softbox directly infront of her.. but under her chin. blasting light up at her from below.
Some of it probably bounced off the ceiling and lit the top of her hood..
So am I right Dag?

If you're going to put something in news/journalism... at least put a caption explaining what's going on. "The explosion" doesn't really tell me much.
What are they exploding? For what purpose? Where is this?

Thanks Thorir.
I truely love using the Konica, and it only cost me around $30 !

Thank you for the comments!
This shot was definitely planned in advance, and the people on the upper left are indeed not a reflection :)

I used an 8mm fisheye

If you guys are interested in comparing this to my other pool table shot, have a look here:

Nanette, I must admit that later on I was disappointed that I had not payed close attention to the arrangement of the balls, nonetheless I posted it because I loved image.
The balls being in the triangle aren't a big problem for me... but I certainly respect your opinion.
Thanks for the commentary!

I love the expression on the girl's face... great photo!
What kind of Leica lens did you mount on your canon? Is it R mount or M mount? What adapter did you use?

Very good shot indeed!
And something being liquid has nothing to do with the material... it is a state.
In the case of glass... it is a solid in the form of a wine glass :)

Thanks for the contructive critique S. Spencer!
Indeed while post-processing I too had been a little bothered by the centered sun. But for some reason I left it in the middle as statement. I'm so used to framing everything with rule of 3rds.. that I sometimes just get a kick out of violating it :)
As for the flare.. I'm not sure what you mean.. The relection on the water/pole? or the streams of light coming directly out of the sun?
I don't seem to notice any actual lens flare.

Great shot, however I think you should have left the lens "distortion" alone, and not used photoshop.
The people in the background look terribly pixelated.

I can't say I like the shot (too much photoshop sharpening, probably the origina photo was a bit blurry, not sure I like the framing)... but its damn funny :)
kudos!

This is what photography is all about!
Sure it isn't the most asthetic presentation on the planet, but what terrific creativity!
How'd you do the stars? just photoshop stars?
