The lighting and exposure are perfect. Brings back memories of my winters in Canada. Nice shot!!
-
I love the concept, the pattern and the colors! Bravo!!

Taken in Montana in an area called Swan Meadows. This is NOT a
composite! This day was blessed with ever changing cloud formations --
I was in hawg heaven! I used an IR filter to enhance the clouds. To
me, the clouds looked like antlers coming out of the tree-filled
hillside... seemed appropriate in terrain where elk love to graze.
Comments appreciated!

For Nestor: Thanks for the comment! Regarding when I convert to B/W: My camera does not have a B/W Mode, so I do the conversion in PS after the fact. I use Channel Mixer in monochrome mode for the conversion.
For Robert: I did play around a bit with the contrast before uploading this, but thought it darkened some of the branches too much, especially on the right. I'll attach that version and see if you and others feel it's a better version!
I appreciate the comments and suggestions!

One of the shots from my first experience shooting with Velvia.

Gorgeous! Wonderful tones, curves and shadows. What a neat place -- I must add to my list of future travel destinations!

Wow! Talk about a birds eye view!! Great clarity!
-
Very cool, Lars!! I like the elements you included -- stock photos or not, they work!! I like the drama you've added with the darkening as well.
-
Very cool shot. This looks like the area near Firehole Lake in Yellowstone? I love your composition and exposure -- I was just there last week! How did you keep your lens from fogging up with the steam?! :-)

Nice reflection. I like the elements you included in the composition. They add interest without detracting from the stark mood of the shot. Nicely done!

I like the mood of this photo. I'm curious if you did the extra grain and contrast on purpose? I like what it's done to the foreground, but the sky seems too noisy. I think this would look very cool with a smoother sky.

I'm really enjoying your angled compositions, Chris. I've tried this without much success -- I think I may be picking the wrong circumstances; whereas you seem to have an eye for choosing the right ones. :-)
-
I really like the angle you've given the viewer on this shot! The balconies pull you through the picture and the people provide a nice warm human element. I may have saturated the color just a bit more -- knowing how colorful the architecture seems to be in Havana. Very nice, Gabriel!

Gorgeous night shot! Things I like: the combination of silver and gold lighting; and the way the bridge pulls your eye to that wonderfully gothic cathedral.I bet this looks great in large size!
-
Wonderful as usual, Dave! The things I like: the dramatic sky, the low angle, the zig zag composition that pulls your eye left, right and back. Well done!
-
Lovely and dramatic! Great angle and colors! BTW, I love your castle shots in your portfolio!!
-
Cool shot!! I recognize this area -- I lived in the Crowsnest Pass for many years. :-)
-
Great shot! I especially like the expression on his face and the road disappearing into the fog. Makes you imagine many intense thoughts going through his head... I feel like this somedays....

What a cool church and what a cool angle!! Thanks for sharing this with us!!
-
Great street shot! I like the playful stance of the little girl. Where is this? The streets look like those in San Miguel de Allende.
-
Gorgeous color, clarity and location!

Fun shot!! Great motion in the water. I like the colorized shoes -- makes it seem like an invisible man is wearing them....
