oooh fantastic!! I love this photo - though I can't articulate why - I just do.

Now, this is Fantastic! Wonderful shot here.

Most original sunset shot I've seen. Fantastic.

Now I remember why mirror lenses were created. Excellent catch. Ask the bear to move to the side next time to get the branches out of the way. ;)

This is the best 'shroom pic I've seen. I like the brown cap on the mushroom. It's a nice tone. The green leaf does detract slightly.

Beautiful and very sharp! Excellent job. Love those night photos.

Nice shot of a normally very skittish animal. What happened to his tail though?

I like it! Very eerie. Feels like a scene in a movie where someone is about to get mugged ;)

I would agree with it being underexposed. The lifering should be white I imagine. Here it's kinda grey. There are some odd diagonal lines on the top and bottom of the photo also.

Do you think I should get rid of the reflections in the water? I
cropped out some the reflections already but they still seem
distracting.

Ron,
You gotta invert it to a negative (well actually positive) to see it in it's original form.
Albert, Way cool. I like it, very original.
-
Very Monet-ish quality to it. I like it.

Gee, he could have won the Lotto instead. I agree, lose the cross.

Not sure what it looked like before but you stated your intent was to bring the eye straight to the hydrant. You accomplished your goal, that is right where my eye went. I like the water spray. I find the background a bit cluttered.

Photographers such as yourself give folks like me someone to admire. I am always amazed when people take something so plain and mundane and create a beautiful work of art with it - as you have with this scene. Excellent work. Your wildlife photos are also most impressive.

My favorite of yours also. Beautiful photo.

Looks like you've gotten a photo worth the waiting in the cold. Wonderful colors - great capture. I like the fact you included some of the structures in the foreground - it is a nice element.

Way cool!! Great eye, this is a great photo. I really like the diagonal line at the bottom of the frame too!

When it absolutely, positively has to be blown up.... I would imagine this is the much perfered perspective - that is instead of the down the barrel one. I like the pic but it has me wanting to see more of the rear of the weapon. I do like how you got close enough to see the yellow on th grenade rounds though!

Funny, I actually enjoy taking photo of the homeless sometimes too. They usually are uninhibited and their character shows through. A couple of things about this photo in particular that I think may improve it - It's hard to see any detail in the man's face - and I would crop it in a landscape format just above the top of the bench. Because your subject is horizontal, it seems more pleasing to me. The background is busy so it draws my eye a bit. Try it in B&W too just for the heck of it but then you'd lose those great shoes!!
Happy shooting,
David.
