gary_oliver_bennett 0 Posted April 26, 2002 Taken with a Leica M6, 50mm f1.4 lens, using Tri-X, Shot wide open. Link to comment
john_tanner 0 Posted April 26, 2002 I like the shot. It is flattering to the subject. It is odd that this would yield a story. I wonder what the shot would look like with better depth of field as the legs fall out of focus. The shoulders head and neck work. Link to comment
jim_c 0 Posted April 26, 2002 Well, IMHO this is a splendid display of creative talent, well done! It caught my eye right away. Link to comment
david yama 0 Posted April 26, 2002 oooh fantastic!! I love this photo - though I can't articulate why - I just do. Link to comment
mark_smith12 0 Posted April 26, 2002 Very nice. I like the way the woman is framed by the couch, the way she isn't sitting straight to the back or the arm, your depth of field (I like the fading focus as you travel down her body), and your viewpoint. The only real suggestion I would make is her right arm is very bright. I would dodge this a little so it isn't quite so glaring. Link to comment
wjm 0 Posted May 1, 2002 I too like this shot very much. I agree with Mark that the fading is nice, but there is something about the DOF the bothers me. The lines (her legs and couch arm) draw the eye to her foot, but it's completely out of focus. I find that distracting. Might be improved by: 1) a slightly greater DOF the bring her foot just a little more into focus, 2) reverse the fading direction, focus on the foot leaving the head out of focus, or 3) both 1 and 2. Or maybe, I just have a foot fetish. :) Link to comment
christopher. 0 Posted May 15, 2002 I new you shot this with a Leica before I looked at what you used. It has that "Leica look" I am just beginning to appreciate as the owner of a new M6. Link to comment
randall_shafer 0 Posted May 23, 2002 This would be a wonderful shot if the model was looking up at the camera. As is, it falls flat and seems quite pointless. Link to comment
dodi 0 Posted May 26, 2002 I'd burn the topleft and topright corners and the leg a bit more. Link to comment
