Only thing I can see improving is getting rid of the tree in the background. It is quite distracting and detracts from a great photo.

Same nitpicks as the previous two posters. But I love this shot!!

I'm gonna have to try me some of these double exposures. Well done.

It's good, but a couple of sky over water photos in your "Mornings and Evenings" folder are much more appealing to me. These colors are so muted, then again, that is the appeal of it too. I'm torn, but I lean towards the more vibrant ones in your portfolio.

could make something like an outcropping look so nice. One can tell you like what you do.

Way cool. Looks like she's got white hair, almost. I also like the drip of water coming off her nose, the way it glistens... The limited DOF separates the statue from the background nicely. If I had to nitpick and this is digging, I would say the sky? in the background (whatever that blue is by the top) would be better missing.

I agree with Larry, just a tad more DOF would be nice IMHO. A great shot nonetheless!

Jean,
This is an absolutely splendid photo! I really love the blue - it makes me feel cold just looking at it!
Happy shooting,

I don't know a lot about underwater photography but in this photo, it seems you need to be a bit closer. Also, your flash must be in line with your lens, causing all that backscatter (all that crud floating in the water to light up). So, get a bit closer and move your strobe. Also, have your daughter secure her octopus (alternate air source) to the triangle formed by her mouth and the lower corners of her ribcage. :)
Happy shooting (and diving)
David.
Also, I'm sure you get better photos automatically in exotic places - you better go check some out!!

The ferries on the slide are quite sharp, sorry about the crap scan! -- David.

Reminds me of a *really* hot day with heatwaves coming off of everything. I think this is a great photo.

Wow, I never knew birds yawned! Way funny photo. And the composition with the clock in the background makes this a great photo!
Happy shooting,

I feel like I'm watching the Discovery Channel! Excellently executed photo.

Though done many times over, I always like these shots. I too thought the camera wasn't level but those trees look ruler straight! A beautiful photo nonetheless.
Happy shooting,

What more can I say?!

I can feel the power and tension! I like the curve of the skaters also. This is an excellent photo.

I like the color alot! I also like the leading fence line. I would crop the bottom just a little to move the horizon away from the middle of the photo. Also be sure to watch that horizon during composition to keep it level.
Happy shooting,

This is a sculpture in front of Salty's restaurant in Seattle. The
photo was taken at night with unrecorded (shame on me) exposure. Any
comments would be appreciated!
Thanks,
David.

but please put "nude" in the title in case someone is looking over my shoulder at work! (This way I'll wait until I get home to view!)
But, other than that, I like this photo. Nice use of black space and feels like it has motion.
