  1. Way more than i need and too many to list. In the last year i have sold several - Canon A-Series Nikon F3 Minolta XD-11 (fabulous camera.!) Oly OM2 I pretty much just shoot my Canon F-1 New and Nikon F2-S But for some reason, for E-6, i always use my Minolta X-570 I also have the Oly OM1n and OM3. If i lost all of my 35mm bodies, except for those, i would be perfectly happy.....but i rarely shoot them. Even with the fairly large sell-off, i still have (Stupidly) too many 35mm SLR. What can i say.? :)
  2. Very Interesting. My country (usa) could learn A LOT from A LOT of different peoples. Keep up the good work :)
  3. I would be very interested in hearing the basics of what your teacher told you when you asked Him/Her this question.......
  4. You obviously have no idea of the breadth and width of invasive consequences from the production and disposal of modern day electronics devices.
  5. Oh Wow..... I dig all that old signage and stuff.! Thank You :)
  6. Wow..... Really.? Didn't they dissolve 15-20 years ago.?
  7. Do not know how i missed this shot..... it is quite humorous. I cannot even remember the last time i saw one of those Phone "Booths" :)
  8. After our Granddaughter was born, i got the "genius" idea to document her first 5-6-7 years (she was 3 in August) with Provia 100. I bought a Kodak Projector and a (very) decent, used screen. It must have been 30 years since i shot slides. I have shot only ten rolls. My first 3 or 4 had quite a few "Over Exposures" . MOST of that was my fault. I have been shooting B&W for so long......well, i guess i was simply just careless. We get so used to the latitude of negatives and (typically) err on the side of overexposure... so i tended to do just that. Now i am much more careful. Also, my "Slide Camera" was my Minolta X570, and its meter was off. I just sent it to Zacks for a CLA. I am anxious to get that camera back (i could use another instead) and pull another roll of Provia from the refrigerator and start shooting E6 again. We now have a Grandson, who will be One in may of 2020. My plan with all this expensive mess was.........shoot slides of the kids (and whoever else was around) during birthdays, holidays, family events, etc etc. After the kids were old enough (i figured about 5 years old) i would break out the carousel, screen, and do something that most Families/People have not done in a LONG Time. I hope it is as wonderful as my imagination has pontificated it will be. :)
  9. Oh...OK. I am, somewhat, familiar with Reno. I have never seen that however. Is it relatively new.? I assume it is Near/On Eldorado/Silver or Harrahs.?
  10. Wow.! Where and what is that.? thank you
  11. I never said he staged That Photo or any other.......
  12. I see these types of questions, on forums, all the time. I wonder if a better question might be....... "Why aren't you asking your instructor for help with this".?
  13. You are taking a class, at a college.....why don't you ask your teacher these questions.? That is why you are enrolled in the class. His/Her answers will be much more meaningful than what you get in text, from a forum. The instructor will be able to explain and show you in person.
  14. Wow..... i do not think you could stage a photo this well. Which is exactly why Street/Candid photos are so nice to look at. :)
  15. A signature, on a Photograph.? A #2 pencil has worked for decades. So does a blue or black ball point pen. If "you" are singing photos, why would a customer want a computer generated signature.?
  16. I understand. Most meters with a dome also have a way to either recess or shield the dome so it is not taking a 180 degree reading. If your meter cannot do that, then your dome is seeing a lot more area than your reflective is. My Sekonic 308 does not recess, but it has an attachment for the dome that blocks out all of that "side" light.
  17. Not that the others were not also excellent, but man.....Horst P Horst was brilliant. That guy's fashion photos were masterpieces.
  18. You need to make sure your dome is "Down" so it is getting reflective value (if that is even possible) from just the gray card.Kind of a tricky maneuver. At that point you would be better off to use the reflective meter. Now, back to my math problem.........
  19. They had some Beautiful Cars there. The circa 1970 Corvette was right where it belonged...... last and parked out on the street. :)
  20. 1. I think in terms of "Zones" whenever i meter. FWIW, i only shoot film with Cameras/Meters circa 1970-1980. I miss stuff once in awhile, but for the most part, the metering side of The Zone System has served me well. 2. However, i have always been confused by Zone-5 and 18% gray. You will have to pardon my math vocabulary (lack of rather) but is it Algebraic, or Logarithmic.? If Zone-5 is f/5.6 at 1/500. Then Zone-6 is f/5.6 at 1/250..... twice as much light. Or, if you go the other way it is half as much light. That is how we are taught to think of stops. They either Halve or Double the light. So, using that math Zone-5 = 18% Zone-6 = 36% Zone-7 = 72% ....... we run out of math. The LRV of the Zones must be based on something besides simple math.?
  21. Where did you get them from.? Wow..... these are Significant and Important..!!! Quality ...Shmality IMHO - You should join the forum below and make them aware of what you have. Fabulous, just fabulous. Good Luck :) WW2Talk
  22. I am a (hack) "Street Photographer". I doubt i have ever taken any frames that might be construed as "Misery". Devoid of life, sad, rainy-day empty bench photos for sure. But never pictures of Heroin Addicts, knife fight victims, or two girls embroiled in a horrible cat-fight. I have SEEN all of that stuff, but i have never put it to frame. I could be wrong, but, but i find it hard to believe (especially circa cell phone camera) that a person would think Street Photography involved even 1% of those types of pictures.
  23. It really is no big mystery...... he got a Guggenheim, to travel the USA and take pictures of......You guessed it, "Americans". And that is exactly what he did. Hence the title of the book. :)
  24. Like no other photography book i have ever owned......It's funny how this book still strikes a nerve with a certain percentage of the population. It always seems to be the same Complaint/Anger, over and over again.
