1. Next time I'll include something of known size for scale. I think this one would have been a bit larger than the ones in your recent post but who knows? Thanks for keeping me honest. :-) Best, Len.
2. Thanks. I was checking out a new eco-park from a pathway (runs around a small pond about 100 ft or so across) and when I got to the other side the back light lit up the leaves on these trees so impressively that I had to invest a couple of frames. This one was my favourite. I felt it best not to include the water in the foreground. Just looked better to me. There were some fresh deer tracks there too, likely from the AM. So, might be worth staking out if I can ever get up that early. :-) Best, Len.
3. Thank you. It was a fun experience. I could have titled this one "A little help here?!" Shooting from the stands can be a challenge. The game is unfolding in front of you, you raise the camera to capture the action, then someone walks in front of you with beer, soda, and popcorn for his\her friends or family. Well, not to worry, lots more coming in a few seconds. :-) The real work starts in post at home. Best, Len.

5. 'Birds of a feather', as they say. :-) Best, Len.
6. Your constructive comment\critique will be gratefully received. LM.
7. When I saw some action unfolding I focused on a player, this time the guy trying to contain the puck, and let loose with a burst of 3 to 5 frames. Lady Luck plays a big part. For someone who has attended one game every 5 or 10 years and shoots from the stands I can't deny her. New career? Perhaps as an annoying fan! Click-click-cllick-click! :-) Best, Len.

Sand, Rock, and Rust

Viewed upside down this is a question mark. Why do I photograph things like this? I think it's interesting what the passage of time & the elements do to common objects. I'm sure I would not have passed this by without investing a frame or two. Best, Len.

A rainy day in Paris 2.

It would seem that one must carry an umbrella everywhere these days. There are no safe havens apparently. Your metaphor for rain would apply to all countries, France most recently. To turn a phrase from Meir, " We all live in tough neighborhoods", the World, it would seem. Perhaps the white umbrella in this photo is a metaphor for hope. Stay safe! Best, Len.
10. Artistic license at work! Seamless application of Photoshop, the best kind. Wouldn't have known had you not said so. Best, Len.

Leaving already?

"I tawt I taw a puddy tat............" This kitty seems to have spotted Tweety. Cats on cobblestones, can't be overdone, each unique. Best, Len.
12. Alf, Congratulations on POW, a worthy choice. Too bad it didn't come with a bag full of money. :-) Peer recognition will have to do. I've commented once before on this gem and will stand by those comments. Best, Len.

No thanks! I won't even get on one of these things with the wheels on solid dry pavement. Guys like this live a very exciting life though I doubt they're unacquainted with pain. :-( Great background. I think, from viewing your other shots, that whatever the charge at this event, you got your money's worth. Best, Len.

Gull

Yah, every once in a while Lady Luck smiles on us photographers. (or is that WE photographers?) :-) Best, Len.
16. Nice to get your take on this offering. Ducks tend to be not as skittish as other birds, my experience at least. They are so easy to photograph just sitting on the water so the challenge is to catch them performing some kind of action. This is the best I could get from this laid back hen. :-) Best, Len.
17. Gotta love the contrast between the white siding and the deep blue sky, a winning combo. Taken, I guess, last spring. Would do my heart good to see some newer posts as this would indicate that you are on the road to recovery since we last spoke. Best, Len.
18. You decide. Nothing is too much trouble for a fan of hockey. (or my photography) :-) Best, Len.
19.
Johnathan, What was the shutter speed? Could account for some softness throughout. Best, Len.

20. A rare fight between members of the same team? They'd likely save that for the locker room. No, these guys are pros. One step below the NHL. Against the opposing team? ............Well, that's another story! :-) Thanks for your visit & comment. Best, Len.

Outgoing _ incoming

'The Headless seagull of Sleepy Hollow'. What is it with these gulls? One has a comfy resting spot & another just has to occupy the same one! Seems to be a universal gull trait. You must have seen this coming. I had a similar experience this past summer. I love a sharp image & this is one. Best, Len.
22. Leave it to a landscape photographer to agonize over tilted horizon lines. :-) Oh, Alf, you still here? Holger, thanks for the 'thumbs up'. Best, Len.
23. Leveling the frame, a product of my camera viewpoint, may have resulted in the tip of the hockey stick to be uncomfortably close to the frame edge if not actually crossing it. (though I guess I could have rebuilt the frame with some photoshop hanky panky) A tilted ice surface also gives the player a speed advantage when attacking the opposing team's s net. :-) But your point is valid. I have posted other shots that have lent themselves to successful leveling. Though full frame professional grade gear would likely produce even more clarity and sharpness I'm generally pleased with my entry level equipment results. Were I to do this for pay instead of pleasure I'd certainly upgrade. Best, Len.
24. Good to get your input. The expression was icing on the cake. Best, Len.
