Thank you both. I hadn't used a tilt/shift in a while so I was playing handheld with some shifts and tilts. I think I dialed up the brightness a bit too high or the sun was a heckuva lot closer than usual to the earth that day. Back to Lightroom.

I'm not sure if this is supposed to be a statement of the bird looking on in awe at the beautiful scene. It really is a beautiful scene. But I find the presence of the rock and bird disconcerting. I think to call it grotesque though seems harsh and even inappropriate.

Nice colors but a bit overdone and unnatural for my tastes. Sorry. Cheers.

Thanks for the comments and critique. This is just off the West Side Rd which is a little north of the Devils Golf Course road, but same stuff. I was playing with a rental Distagon 25mm f 2.8. Very pretty out there at dawn. In looking at this I wish I had gotten more of a close up for the foreground and then about 2/3 or 3/4 sky above. But...it gives me a reason to go back.

Very nice light. Nice scene. As one who takes a fair number of verticals, I'm curious what in this scene made you go vertical?

I like this a lot. It's beautiful and delicate and then the hard edges and lines of the building hit you. Very nice.

What I like most about this photo is that the horizon is so hard to identify. It's as though the water and air blur into one. Fantastic.

East side Eureka Dunes. I like the dune light and shadow and color in the foreground. Nice photo.

Thanks for the comments. Kenneth, I was actually thinking of cropping a bit off the bottom and right.

Comments and criticisms appreciated. This view is from about 8-9 miles in
off the highway.

I know its another wacky surreal HDR but I couldn't help myself! It's a neat little place at the south end of the beach at Davenport, CA.

Thanks for the comments. It's a really neat place near St.George, Utah. I was there in late afternoon. For anyone headed there, sunrise would be a better time as most of the cliffs face southeast.

Awesome photo. And what is even better is that you keep turning out one awesome one after another!
