It sure didn't look gold when I was there. Comments and criticisms appreciated. I think
it would look better if there was some serious water running. Couldn't help that one.

I was going to crop the heck out of it but then thought all the greenery was too pretty.
Maybe.

Thanks for looking. A cute little redwood grove about 1.5 miles up Soberanes Creek
from Highway 1 about 6-7 miles south of Carmel.

Beautiful scene and lighting. I'm not sure about the sky. My first reaction was that it was beautiful. Then the longer I look at it, the more it looks a bit too blue. I've noticed the same thing with some of my own desert photos. Overall it's a great photo.

Thank you all for the comments. I will toy around with a crop or two, the bluer than blue sky and also try B+W. The image may return. For those of you desert lovers, if you have never been to Owens Valley in CA, check it out. It's full of stuff like this.

That's great. I love the colors of the background scene juxtaposed to the tree. Excellent.

LOL! I like your comments. Thanks. It does look like antlers, as though some crazed deer was running into the frame as I was snapping the shutter. I tend to agree. I think it is more of a distraction and doesn't really add any beauty to the scene. I really don't know what I was thinking when I shot it. Thanks again for your thoughts. I'll send this to the trash bin.

Great image. Beautiful shadows and ripples. I agree that the BW is even more dramatic.

This place has had the life sucked out of it courtesy of Los Angeles water use. I still
find it one of the prettiest areas in all the California desert regions. Question-Crop down
the sky?
