A bit grainy. Shot seems to be tilting downward to the right. Nice capture otherwise.
-
Lovely rich colors. Intersting subject. Tells a story. Overall well done.
-
Really nice tones. As a picky side note, I thinka black frame might make the picture stand out more. The frame tones right now are competing a bit.
Has a nice feel overall. Good DOF. It would be intersting to see the flowers in the foreground a bit brighter.
Just some thoughts in passing. Hope they help.

Just for fun, have you tried editing out the background and giving it a black background? I think it would realllly make the red pop. Might be interesting to see.

Only edit to this file was a monotone hue coloration and a crop.
Unedited apart from that. Thoughts and comments are greatlly
apppreciated.

Thanks Thomas for taking the time to stop in.

Shot on Lake Conroe at 6:45 AM. temperature was in the low 40's. I
froze my hiney off but it was beautiful.
Thoughts and comments greatly appreciated.

The slanting hill which draw me up to his face, the crisp detail of his sweater, those RV windshield glasses - ahhh a piece of armericana. Great shot. I like it for all teh same reasons everyone else does. You sure have a knack for this kind of shot Howard.
Great Job!

This is a wonderfull shot. I really enjoy shooting landscape work. It is something of my favorite stuff. unfortunately, there isn't a LOT of beautiful lanscape in Houston Texas and shooting people has been what has made me some money so most of the stuff I post is people.
I hope to have a little more freedom to shoot God's creation.
Your DOF is spot on in this one. The greens are excellent. Saturation overall is excellent.
The one spot of Grey clouds is so so for me. I partly want to see a cyrstal blue sky against all that green or a little more ominous - one of the two.
Still, it's a wonderful shot and very well composed.

Thank very much for the comment. I too feel it has a graphic feel to it. It is a departure for me but one of me earliest shots that really caught my eye and made me feel I had something to offer in this field was a shot very similar to this one. So, I return to it every now and again.

This picture is actually only slightly modified. I altered the color
tone slightly. The fod rising off the lake was backlight so that the
whole sky look aglow. It was so beautiful I had to stop and take
pictures and apologize later to my client for why I was late.
Thoughts and comments greatly appreciated.

I would have to agree. It's actually one of my favorite I've ever done of individuals.
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment.

The detail and yet the softness of the sweater makes the picture more enjoyable for me. the sharpness on the face could be slightly better. Overall a cute and decently executed shot.

Another in the series. your thoughts and comments are greatly
appreciated.

I wish the DOF was just a touch deeper but still not bad. Visiually, the color spearation of the background and the subject are not that far apart as to make it really stand out. But also, this isn't that bad. In all, a decent shot.

Thanks Arthur!

Thanks Authur for the comments.
Charles: I had several shots that showed her on the dock and wanted to pull in a bit closer to focus more on her face. At least that was the idea.
I didn't notice the arm being particularly hot. I might play with that a tough to see what I get. Thanks for the thoughts.

Thanks Authur. I liek a lot of your stuff. I appreciate you taking the time to comment.

This was a little different from the others. There was more of a
"catching the someone in the moment" feel to it. I like it. I'd
appreciate your thoughts and comments.
-
Thanks fo rthe thoughts. I agree. I'm probably going to submit the other one for critique just for grins and see how it does.

Thoughts and comments greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for the comments. I was definitely going for that natural look. The setting and her outfit both contribute to it. This wasn't a planned shoot so we worked with what we had the best we could.

WOW! So many kind words. Thank you each for stopping in. I've looked at that horizon line quite a bit and I know what you're talking about.
I do think it's an optical illusion. Perhaps I'll play with it and see what I can get.
Thanks again for the good eyes.
