Interesting thought. I hadn't considered off centering the figure because of the subject matter. and felt it was crucial visually to convey the message from the center. Hmmm... a new thought to experiment with. Thanks.

So great to hear. We'll have plenty of time to chat. :-)

PLEASE VIEW LARGER! :-)
I spent a great deal of time re-working this picture. Please examine
the details in the shadow area. There is a great deal of symbolism in
this picture and it revolves around John 15:13. Thank you for your
time and considerations.

Thanks so much C. Aren't kids awesome? Your last subject was a looker as well. :-)
-
Kim, Many thanks. You have a fantastic portfolio. I really appreciate your taking the time to comment here.
Erin, many thanks for stopping in again. :-) He's just not a cooperating model yet. SO, everything is candid. LOL. (Which are usually my favs anyway.)

Having grown up around such critters all my life, I must say well done! :-) Great shot Kim.

Momma was a past Beauty contest gal and she ALWAYS took good pictures. Even to the point of annoyance! LOL! I could NEVER take a picture of her that didn't look posed and perfect. Both my daughter and son get the photogenic state from her. I always look stoned and one eye shut in all my pictures.
And thank you by the way. :-)

Another from the Summer Boy series. Again, editing out the background
for a better focus on the boy. Comments and critiques greatly appreciated.

Fantastic idea. It would be even greater if the woman below was not of as "desirable" shape in that she was reaching for the body she wanted but it was out of her grasp.
That is still implied here but here it is more perhaps the freedom of nudity? Anyway...
I love a shot that makes you think. Well done.

Thank you Kim. I tend to agree. It's funny that the REALLY bad background is what inspired me to try and improve it and as it turns out I like it LOTS more this way. Thanks for stopping in.

Great colors.

I'm on a dark monitor which makes this difficult but I can tell this is a stunning shot Alec. This is awesome. Very asthetically pleasing. Great job and excellent balance.

Many thanks! :-)

Many thanks. From the first time I sumbitted it, I received a 6.3 average. It seems not to be fairing as well this go. Ahh well, such is life. Glad you enjoyed it guys. thanks for taking the time and for such kind words.

Tracy: glad to help out. Shoot me an e-mail at jorsak@pdq.net and I'll detail it for you.
Vicki: Many thanks. :-) Especially for taking the time to comment.

Thank you for such kind words. I would say you have an unusual name but perhaps it isn't unusual at all in your part of the world. :-) How do you say it?
Again, thank you for stopping by.

Thank you Lars. Yes, the shadow cross is definitely the idea., :-) It's supposed to be subtle though so it's fun to see that it hits you a little later. :-)
-
Not much on the cat shots but this is well done in that you add an element that changes it up from the typical. Purrfect alignment. :-)

This shot was done last 4th of July. It is one of my all time
favorites. I did some touch up work on it (Brought out a little more
of the red tones - for symbolic reason) and cleaned up the cross area
in the shadows some. From the original, the blue tones were brought up
some but the shot as a whole is as was - minus the previously
mentioned changes.
-
WOW! Fantastic for the subject. I'D LOVE to shoot this tree. The crucifixion is DEFINITELY visiable here. A more blurred background might enhance it some. Really fascinating.
-
This one grabs you for certain. The round / cylindrical shapes are pleasing to the eye and the cool tones really are appealing.
Nice work.

Igor: Thanks.. from a great shooter such as yourself, this is greatly appreciated.
Hillary: Thanks for the thoughts. It's always great to get confirmation on the ideas.

Well done photo. (And I am not a "horny guy") just observing the comments about a "mannish" quality. What, I think, brings this out is the following: The pose with the model's upturned left arm accentuates the models lats which are very typically a more "mannish" quality.
The pose also flattens her chest amd her arm under her leg accentuates her deltoid and presses out her triceps which is typically a more "mannish" feature.
Finally, I think the most subtle and yet probably one of the most influential of the "mannish" aspects is that her hair (which we know to be long because we do see it) appears to be flat on the right and top of her head which complete a "mannish" appearance.
