Toby, That guy... who knows what his story is, is part of teh "Fleeing" aspect in that he' sprobably walking looking for gas or food or something along those lines. There were lots of people standing outside their cars, etc. I saw tons of cars just parked. It was a trip to see. That's for sure.

Kennethe, thanks for stopping in! Always good to see you too. :-)
Erin, HEY!!! Long time. Thanks for checking things out.

The outbound traffic fleeing hurricane Rita. It was th elargest
evacuation in US history (I have heard.) Thankfully, it didn't hit
as bad as was originally suspected. This was the most amazing
traffic jam I've ever seen.
Thoughts / Comments greatly appreciated.

WOW Greg! This is a beautiful shot. The lighting is just unreal. The whisp of light pulling down into the water... just stunning. And those clouds...
The foreground, as someone pointed out, is a little lacking. But overall WOW! Great stuff man.

Thanks everyone for the kind thoughts. Kenneth, I greatly appreciate the info and concern. We live in Humble (20 miles north of Houston) and are on pretty high ground. When Alicia dropped 28 inches of rain on us, we didn't flood. So... I THINK we should be ok. I'm mostly concerned about the winds. We're watching closely. From the traffic, they are advising a lot of folks not to try and leave since there's no where to leave too.
I'll keep everyone posted as best I can.

Thankyou Tiina. You are, as always, to kind.

The miles and miles of traffic fleeing from hurricane Rita. Glad I'm
not in it. This is taken off the freeway near my house. We are going
to get with hurricane force winds, but I think we'll be ok.

Considering that the implication is "Evil", I think (Especially for thsi young girl) that seeing, hearing, and speaking, NO evil would be a good thing.
I'm kinda lost as to what your point was???

HOWARD!!! Heya man... long time. Doing well. Being very busy. Editing a bunch of shot sfrom this shoot for the person who wanted them and then there's my regular work schedule. :-)
All's well. Hope the same for you.

Nice perspective although I would like to see more floor. The colors are nice and the overall shot holds the viewers interest.

Thanks for the thoughts. :-)

Please check out the original and let me know which you prefer. Many

Actually, I did a bunch of shots and do have some different expressions. I will probably go back and work up a few. I was doing a shot for a lady with 3 children so I have to get some of all of them done.
It will be a bit before I go back and upload some more of this guy, but I think there's a better expression in there somewhere. :-)
Thanks so much for stopping in.

Yeah... the book is definitely KEY to the shot.
This fellow has 2 sisters (I'm uploading a shot today of the three of them) and I had intended to do the 2 girls as angels and him as a little devil. While I was waiting on everyone to get ready, I was checking out books on the mom's bookshelf. I saw this book and IMMEDIATLY KNEW I had to use it.
Check out the three children shot if you get the chance. Thanks so much for stopping in.

Second in the series. Thoughts and comments greatly appreciated.

The horns, tail, and pitchfork were planned. The book was a wonderful
accidental find on the families bookshelf. The idea hit me in a
flash. The little devil reading up on how to be an angel. It was a
mUST shoot. Thoughts and comments greatly appreciated.

Some convergence correction could really help this shot I think. Nice in B/W.

Alan,
Thanks for the thoughts. The line guy walking is what made this stand out for me as well.
