No no.. it's definitly a spring shot. In Texas, summer isn't for at least another week. LOL.
I will perhaps try an edit without the girl so central. I don't normally put subjects in dead center when at a distance but missed that in this shot.
Thanks for the time and effort.

Hey Howard, glad to see you in my neck of the woods. I've been great but VERY busy.
Elisabeth,
Thank you so much for your comments and your time.

Thank you Gerry,
It always amazes me when I get a 7/7 from someone and I get 3/3 from others on the same picture. You at least took the time to explain your thoughts on a 7/7 rating whether the picture actually merits that score is of course just opinion. I understand that art is very subjective. It's always such a let down that the low raters practically NEVER give an explination and consequently, very little is learned (the reason why I submit in the first place.)
At any rate, I greatly apprecaite you taking the time to comment on the picture. :-)
Have a great day!

Everythings been great Wil. Thanks for stopping in. I've been crazy busy lately. Did a wedding shoot recently. Might upload some.
Cya soon.

Good stuff Wil! Goood stuff! Nice tones on the background. Is that PS'd in? I'd imagine so. good compliment.
-
Nothing to add that hasn't been said. i'm a fan of your work Marc. Keep 'em coming!

Anotehr in the series. Thoughts and comments are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the comments guys. I pretty much agree. The other is my favorite from the shoot but I didn't know if I was being biased.

Similar to previously submitted version. Backgroun has been B/W'd.
Is this better or worse than previous version?

Thank you each for stopping in. Richard... I'm a HUGE fan of your seascapes. I Greatly appreciate the thoughts and you taking time to comment on my stuff.
Wil, I think it's deceiving. I did spend time making sure the horizon was lined up. perhaps I will revisit that to make certain.
Thanks again every one for the time and comments.

WOW! Stunning shot Marc.
The light, of course, makes this. Coming through that center area there makes this just unique.
There are so many seascape shots and stuff like Richard VanHousel (SP?)offers up (incredible) makes it a subject I don't want to tackle simply because there are folks like you and him that do such an amazing job at it.
Lovely shot. I wish there was a touch more colors in the sky but that is a nit pick. Great shot!

Perhaps a touch on the to soft side for me... never the less, it is a really plesant shot. It doesn't blow me away but I think what really makes it work ultimately is its understatedness.
Christmas card feelings all around and a very solid work.
Good job Will.

Great abstraction Wilson. excellent colors.
-
Very sharp. Excellent focus and details. The background doesn't give a great deal of separation from the subject (competing colors.) but isn't to bad.
-
LOL! No. Not quite this bad. In old days when it was 2 lanes yes, perhaps - especially approaching the Kingwood area.
however, 59 got a major overhaul in recent past and is now 5 lines coming and going. I can make it from Humble to Downtown in 15-20 minutes pretty much any time of day. it's the best freeway in houston.
The photo doesn't really capture the length of the traffic. I didn't have a flat spot that showed the traffic for miles and miles. there were 2.4 million people leaving town from what I heard. It was the crasiest thing I'd ever seen as far as traffic goes which is why I HAD to shoot it.

this is a duplicate shot of a previously submitted one. I find the
blue tones completely change the picture. This appears to be a late
ngiht shot. Thoughts and comments greatly appreciated.
-
Indeed! beautiful comment. Thank you so much for the time and effort.
