I know in Glasgow we have people living on the streets, some of whom have no right to claim benefits, no right to housing and no right to work. Non people. Wouldn't it be great if they were all just scam artists.

What happened to Christmas Sunday this year? The Sunday following Christmas Day is always Christmas Sunday. Boxing day should have been Monday this year.

Justice for Gordon Gentle, killed in Iraq while on patrol in June

1000 people marched through the Pollock housing estate in Glasgow in

protest against the war in Iraq and in memory of Gordon Gentle.

Sure, as a film user I'd go for a slighly harder grade of paper, maybe dodge the boy a bit and in particular his eyes to bring out the whites. I'd maybe burn the sky a touch at a low grade just so the white is not overwelming.

For a digital capture you can adjust the levels in photoshop image/adjustments/levels. Just play with the sliders for midtones, highlights and shadows. Then maybe using the dodge and burn tools work on his face, in particular selecting the highlights and shadows. Just play around and soon you should be able to get a bit of extra impact in it.

This is indeed excellant. And there are quite a few interesting images in your folder. I do feel you need to make more use of tonal range and contrast for the B&W stuff. My only critism of this shot is that the finnish is a bit flat.

It's an interesting shot. But three things detract from it I feel. The composition, it's too grey and also very soft.

It could be cropped, but maybe you should have tried to get a better angle.

What's it about anyway? The riot guys look somewhat relaxed.
