Mudita
We find many things when working on the backside of web properties. Here is an example. This is the most viewed image on PhotoNet with an incredible 5,701,788 views.

rodeo_joe1
No offence meant Jean, but I'm pretty dismayed and horrified at a popular taste that requires 5.7 million people to view that - or 5.7 people a million times each.... plus a few more after this thread! AlanKlein
There's no accounting for taste. Flickr gallery: https://www.flickr.com/photos/alanklein2000/albums

Tony Parsons
May I also point out this statistic, from the Forums page. Apparently, each member has viewed the image at least five times - and, considering I never saw it prior to reading this thread, I would question this. Member Statistics 1,004,546Total Members 472Most Online I would also question the veracity of these figures in themselves - does the 472 include bots and guests ? Robin Smith
I too doubt this is in any way accurate, but have no way of proving it. I have now viewed it and my retinas are damaged beyond repair. Robin Smith

Gerald Cafferty
I've not found a way to search all photos, but this apparently is the most viewed of mine. But only 4347 times
Mark Keefer
The image was posted in 2002, I don't recall seeing the image, but it has been 21 years so maybe a have. Cheers, Mark

It is funny what happens in a few decades and no one is really paying attention and making adjustments. Block statistics on any forum site are dross and deceit. Promotional eye candy for the masses. In this number are the dead and the disinterested and the decrepit and the spammers and the banned, and accounts that were made that never posted or visited again. It is astounding that through the various migrations since 2000, many important things have been lost and this bit of oddness has been preserved in every iteration. If conservatively this number were to be trimmed of the flotsam and jetsam and then filtered for the number of members who have logged on over the last 2 years well then about 30K can be accounted for. We are unable to muster complete metrics prior to the mugration in October of 2022 and analyze any previous trends. Our apologies for the prose as we have been parsing Hemingway and seem dispensed to be rather polysyndactic today. Tony Parsons
Interesting - I'd not realised it was a cumulative total since the inception of Photo.Net I suspect, however, that the future of human communication will be two people using semaphore flags across a vast radioactive plain of fused rock and burned stunted trees.
