Mike Gammill
Found a roll of Fomapan 200 that expired in 2011 so I thought I'd feed it to my Nikkormat FT3. We'll see what "develops".
Rick_van_Nooij
Loaded up Perfex Fifty-five I restored 2 years ago and loaded it with some Fomapan 100. No real weekend plans, but the weather will be lovely to go out and shoot.
Bill Bowes
I have "discovered" that using a KMZ Viewfinder, set at 50mm, on the Iso's gives me excellent results when composing vrs the camera viewfinder focus patch. So this weekend this "new" combo will join the Kiev 4A for some walk-abouts. Aloha, Bill

Mike Gammill
Located two lenses that I had misplaced: Rokkor QE 100mm f 3.5 MC and preset 50mm f 3.5 macro. Planning to use those this weekend.
Mike Gammill
Here's a shot of that compact little 100mm f 3.5. and one of it attached to an SLR The SR 505 is a Japanese market version of SRT 202. I've got it currently attached to an SRT 101. Weather wasn't so great today for taking photos, but tomorrow looks promising.
rick_drawbridge
Great minds must think alike, Mike. I'm just about to develop a film from a Minolta SRT-202, one of my favourite Minolta SLRs. I used the excellent little MD 35-70mm f/3.5 zoom. Minolta SRT-202
Mike Gammill
The 35-70 is a favorite of mine as well. The little 100mm f 3.5 is the MC version of the earlier 100mm Auto Rokkor which had automatic aperture but no meter coupling. The preset macro lens I mentioned only cost me 10 USD back in the mid 1980's.
kmac
Pretty soon I'll be trying out this nifty little 1960's Vitessa I picked up at a recent swap meet. All functions work perfectly still, and the accuracy of the coupled selenium cell light meter matches my digital Canon 960. I love it when light meters are accurate. No rangefinder, just scale focus but there's three indent stops for "Portrait" (4.5ft) "Group" (10ft) "Landscape" (30ft). Memorizing which indent is which means the eye can be kept at the viewfinder as the focus ring is rotated. Of course the feet or meter scales can be used also for more accurate focusing. Other virtues are: hot shoe, indent free aperture adjustment, a hook for the very beginning of the film leader to positively hook onto, provision for cable release, "B" setting and a very visible yellow frame bright line in the viewfinder as well a thick black meter needle which is easily tracked through it's movement high a low It only has a triplet lens so I'll shoot at f5.6 or smaller aperture openings. The film wind lever is on the bottom and for me, that will take bit of getting used to. Overall this is a top quality compact camera by the looks of things, I'm very impressed and can't wait to get it out and about with film in it
Mike Gammill
Late addition to my gear for the weekend- I managed after dozens of attempts to unjam my oldest son's Minolta SRT 200. Currently loaded with Tri-X, 45mm f 2 MD Rokkor, and a fresh Wein cell. Going out in a while to take some photos. My son is excited that his camera is working again. Bill Bowes
I am starting to seal up the cameras for my "jump" back to the mainland, so the "new" Kiev 4 is the only one out. Aloha, Bill
Mike Gammill
Minolta SRT 101 with 55mm f 1.7 MC Rokkor and Plus-X. Getting out my Minolta XE-5 as well but undecided on lens.
rick_drawbridge
I picked up this Minolta SRT 303 at a fair yesterday, and as soon as I've given it a clean and polish I'll test it with a film. Not that it needs much cleaning; it really is in exceptional condition, which I suppose is why I fell from grace and bought it. It's not as if I really needed another Minolta SRT, but it fills a gap in the collection and was bundled with a nice old 135mm Rokkor PE f/4.5 lens. Oddly enough, due to Minolta's strange model designations, in terms of specifications the SRT 303 ranks slightly below my favourite, the SRT 202, but the cameras are very nearly identical. Third time's a charm, right? Will be taking another camera or two as well. Not decided yet. Andrew in Austin
Hi Don, What is that hinged apparatus in the photo? That my friend is an ABLON, which is used as a guide to properly trim a film leader. I prefer to use the tiny pair of scissors that are on my Swiss Army - stye pen knife. The scissors work much better on modern film that are coated on a polyester base as opposed to acetate. Rick_van_Nooij
I don't even pre-cut the film anymore when I load a bottomfeeder. I unscrew the lens and guide the film into place through the open shutter. ;)
