  1. Hi Nick, it's a good all around lens, I only paid $190.00 dollars for it, so deals are out there. in time I want the Zeiss 35mm.
  2. Here's something, I was looking over the lens today and decided to check out the rear element and low and behold it's holding ring was loose, I was able to turn it with two fingers and when I got the spanner wrench out it came right off, so I retightened it and I hope that helps.
  3. Beginning to thing it's the lens, I have a A7 and A7ii, and it looks the same with both camera's.
  4. I used a VisibleDust swab and there Vdust cleaner, I did check it again and the sensor looks clean but the back of the lens with a flashlight looking though it, it has a fog in back lens element which I cleaned again and I hope the lens stays clean. I hope the lens has no defect but it's used so who knows.
  5. Hi all, I took this picture yesterday and I notice the white Rabbit is a bit hazy??. What could it be, I did clean the sensor and it looks clean and the lens as well but not sure if it's the lens?
  6. It goes without saying but "not all cameras can do all job's". I have my Sony A7 which I just purchased but I kept my Nikon D700 because the DSLR can do some photo job better I know it's 12 Megapixel's it's a full frame which I like.
  7. I look at a lot of youtube, in the past I worked on a Canon eos1ds that one had a bashed prism, next was a Nikon D3 with a broken mode knob I replaced both on these camera's. The A7 was a total strip down and it wasn't to bad just had to remember which screw went where and the order of the parts and in the end the camera came out great it works, not meant for the faint of heart plus I saved $325.00 dollars it's sometimes worth it.
  8. I purchased one from a seller on ebay for $500.00, the only thing is the IBIS it's jammed for some reason, I might get a new part for it and replace it myself. I just replaced the sensor filter in the A7 camera I just took my time doing it in stages and got it back together and works fine, and the reason those new Sensor swipes from photographic solutions, I don't like the way the work now.
  9. I did that finally after the damage was done, I think they made them better before, now the heat the cloth on either end and it leave's the corners hard, which doesn't seem to bother the folks at sensor swipe.
  10. I sent a email, and told them about the hard edges and they tested a few of their's with no scratching (right). Now my sensor looks like a hazy mess. I ordered a new sensor cover to replace it, and got a quote between $255.00 and $320.00 to replace it and I have to buy the part from them they will not use my part (bummer). So I watch a few video's and might attempt it myself.
  11. Here's the swipe! Sorry about the spelling on swipes can someone fix that if they could.
  12. Hi all, In all my years of having Digital Camera's Nikons, Canon, Fuji and Pentaxes and finally Sony's A7 Camera's, this is the first time with the Sony that I have a problem. I purchased a set of Photographic solution swaps 24mm, opened them up and saw they changed them with some kind of cotton material, so I applied the solution as I alway's do and cleaned, the first thing I notice was hey! these are to small to be for a full frame camera sensor there's a gap on top and the whole sensor doesn't get cleaned then I looked and saw this line going across the top of my sensor that will not come out (scratched) maybe but I did noticed there are two ruff points on the swap and it's not soft but a hard point from when they seal the sides with heat and makes two ruff points on either end. so this is a warning to all of you with your camera's to watch those hard ends. Tomorrow I'm going to call the company and I can't believe this and complain I let you guy's know How I make out.
  13. Hi all, I did purchased a original A7 but now after seeing and trying out a A7II I think maybe I should of waited for one of those. I am reading about problems with the internal Steady shot (IBIS) vibration reduction, what are your thought's about it? I know it helps with handheld shots which is a plus but the problems I'm hearing is not good.
  14. Thank you for the info, anybody else with experience with this lens?
  15. Hi all, Does anyone or know someone who has this lens I just received my Sony A7 and have started looking for lenses for it, I read and seen a few reviews and it looks good!
  16. I received the camera yesterday, in it's original box, great shape. The size is nice with a good grip, still have to get a lens for it but looks promising.
  17. Camera differences are like film differences back in the day, you have a camera and you just pop in a different film to change the look of your results, today it's a bit different you really have to stick to the one brand you like and the colors they process. I've been through a lot of camera's (digital) now, I've been happy with the Fuji and Nikons color but I don't expect either of the them to look the same I don't want that, I want to see the color difference and start from there.
  18. I'm sure there's a color difference, I've been using a Fuji X-pro1 with a Nikon D700 and they both have color difference. it will be interesting to see what I get out of this camera.
  19. Hi all, Well I finally did it, I was looking through the listings on ebay and found a great deal on a A7. I know that Sony still sells these new, so the question is how are these camera? anything that stands out I should watch out for?. I know they are great picture takers, I should get it by Monday and pick up one of those Samyang 35mm f2.8 lenses I heard great things about.
  20. That's been my problem lately with the other Tamron lens I received the 17-50mm f2.8 soft focusing at f2.8.
  21. Believe or not I got one from KEH one of the ugly ones for $50.00 bucks, when I received it everything worked but the lens element's had it's share of fog and white stuff. So I took it apart and cleaned it out and it's a really nice lens on my D700. I don't blame you on trying to find a good one, there a nice light sharp lens.
  22. It's Finally on it's way, it got held up in the Post Office for some reason.
  23. I have mine set at -0.3 and I'm pretty happy with the results, you should of told Nikon UK to adjust the meter to your liking and leave it at that.
  24. Finally found a good deal and a replacement card door and side panel for the D700, should get it by next week.
