1. Hi all, I want to pick up a inexpensive digital slr camera, I'm already using a Fuji X-pro1 which I love and a few micro-4/3rd's which I like as well but want to get into slr's. So I decided between two camera's a Nikon D2X or a Canon 5D. I know they are about 10 years old and still do take great pictures I'm just at a bit of a loss to decide, the full frame would be nice but since using the Fuji I come to get along fine with the smaller sensor's. If you guy's or gal's have any idea's let me know. Thanks
 2. Thank you Ferdi for the info, now I know which models I have, I just went yesterday and pick up the pictures with this camera and was impress what I saw, the color's and sharpness are amazing I did a lot of tall building shots and the blue sky was stunning. All from the Xenotar glass.
 3. Hi all, I'll try this here, I picked up a real nice condition Rollei 3.5F Model 1, When I got it, it was a bit stiff from not being used and proceeded to clean it up and if possible do a little relube in certain areas not a lot just a bit, and when I lifted the front I was amazed by the large size Compur shutter in it compared to the other shutter in my other F camera. This one has the gears on the outside, real different. So is there any benefit to this or the other type or just a different design? I did not even try to open this one up and clean it because it works great as is. Clark
 4. Sorry it took so long to respond, well I did get the lens and I went though it. First the aperture kept getting stuck so I did clean it and that helped it works better but it kept getting stuck until I found the problem there's a spring and a boom-a-rang shape bracket and the spring on that was weak so I bend it a bit to make it stronger and now the aperture work better it does not get stuck. All in all and pretty nice lens and with the K5 anti-shake it 's really good.
 5. I'm holding on to it, do you see the prices for the 3.5F Planar there pretty much though the roof, besides I might get the lens recoated it cost less to get that done instead of buying another camera with unknown problems.
 6. Got the pictures back, had to search for a processor who could do it in a few hours, and I was shocked when counter person handed me the envelope. They all came out great even to the point of the counter person asking me if I want to sell the camera to him.
 7. Well I finish it, put in a roll of portra 160 and slapped on a filter with the hood and went out and took a few pictures.
 8. That's good to hear, will have to see when it's in the stores.
 9. I purchased it for parts a long time ago so returning it is a no go, when I look thru the rear with a focusing screen I see no affect so maybe it's okay or not, I wonder if it could be recoated?
 10. I picked up a beater Rolleiflex 3.5F TLR and decided to see if I could fix-up. Well i got the shutter to work and I unscrewed the front elements assembly and cleaned the rear of it, it came out good except there is coating damage leaving clear and coated marks, would this effect picture quality or at certain angles? Thanks
 11. I have the second version of a PQ lens but it is a Zeiss for my Rolleiflex 6002 and it's a great lens, colors and sharpness are high. I know you like the Xenotar but maybe you could give the Zeiss a try.
 12. Thanks for the info Gary I guess there's no difference, I have a 6002 which I really like and saw a great deal on a 6006 Model 2, I do have a back for it but just one I got off a broken 6008 which I could use.
 13. Ah! by the responses I guess there no difference's so I'll save money!
 14. Enjoy your new Hasselblad, When my friend sold me his I wasn't prepared for the level of quality it has even compared to digit.
 15. Hi Rollei 6000 Lovers, Is there any picture difference between a 6006 mod 2 and a 6002, I know the backs are different So I was wondering if there is a picture difference? Thanks Clark
 16. Hi all, I was going thru the bidding site the other day I saw this great deal on a 20mm f2.8A lens, as I click and read it was in decent shape but! (always a but) the aperture didn't work. So i thought what the heck there pretty straight forward lenses and I fix a few before so I bid and in the last moments won. once I get it it should be pretty nice on the K5ii a nice 30mm view and tip's using it?. I have a 24mm f2 fa which is a great lens. I did notice these full frame lenses are getting harder to find so I guess this is a good find. Clark
 17. Either that or I'll look around for a good glue and put it back on myself, i'm pretty handy at this stuff.
 18. Hi all, I seen a friends Canon 5D in pretty nice shape but the only thing is that the mirror fell out, the parts are all there, so do you guy's or gal's have fix this yourself. I know it's been debated to death but I'm really good a camera repairs and love to give it a go. Thanks
 19.
Hi David,
Thank you for the info, can the new brake assembly be purchased or must be sent in
for a repair?

Clark

 20.
Hi all,
I purchased another Hasselblad 500CM body off ebay at a great price, so the seller said
that it was a "as is no return" because of the slow closing of the rear flaps. I took a chance
and won it, he was right they are slow moving so I took it apart and found out when I removed
the cover that holds the spring housing the rubber washer was turning to goo!. Do they have
a replacement rubber washer for that or the early 500CM parts are all gone and I have to make one
which I could do. Any info would be a help, plus how many 500CM's models where there I now
have a older version with what appears to be a PC socket on the side and one without what gives??

Clark

 21.
Thanks Stewart, it's great to be here.

 22.
If anybody could help the part is called "spring for intermediate cocking" part number
000000-1008-960 or other for the CF lens.

 23.
Thanks, I put a small spring on the fork linkage and to my surprise the lens works so all I need
is the part number for the spring. the only other problem and I think it's because it's the wrong
spring is the lens goes on easy enough but it's hard to get it off something sticking in one spot.
Thanks
Clark
