    Paper Waves

Charles. Great abstract. I really like how the folds cause that dark line leading my eye from the lower right to the upper left. Cool. Dana...

    Volleyball Field

Anita. Wonderful abstract. I like it very much. I agree with Saad that another crop might be more effective; however, I would crop to remove the left edge as Saad suggests but would try leaving only a small strip of blue on the left, essentially pushing the intersection of the yellow line off center. Just a suggestion and I think you saw it very well. All the best. Dana...

    Inside

Laura. First, I like the shot and think the color and lighting are great. I agree with Jim about the gaze and that and her expression give the work a melancholy feel for me. It is as if she is observing something but is not engaged with it. A very interesting portrait. All the best. Dana...

    Yellow zebra

Jon. Way to see it. I love the texture. I also like the folding and tear in the yellow line and it seems like the bit of yellow on the grate came from the missing piece on the line. Finally, it has a confused sense of scale for me (a good thing) because it seems like the grate should be big but isn't if you use the lines as a reference. Cool abstract. Dana...
  5. Raymond. Cool portrait. I really like the BW conversion and the apples are a cool touch. Eve got into trouble with only one apple, this girl must be dangerous indeed! All the best. Dana...

    Scattered by the waves

Jon.  Outstanding photograph.  Composition, color, texture.  Great job.  Dana...
  7. Ricardo. I like the random acts of existence series. This one especially caught my attention. I like the tonal range and the movement created by the subject's "pose". I really like that you can't see what is casting the second shadow and that leaves the interpretation open. The absurd thought that I first had was that some kind of alien was following him. Very cool. Dana...

nebojsa.  Wonderful image.  The tonal range is great and the timing perfect.  I also like the reflection of cars in the window.  cool.  Dana...
  9. Wasn't sure where to put this so I put it in nudes. The model was nude so hopefully it is OK. Comments and suggestions welcome. Thanks. Dana.

    Convection

Raymond. Thanks. Delicious works for me. Peter. Thanks for the thoughtful comment and analysis. It is always helpful to get some specific thoughts about the technique. It is always humbling to get a favorite from someone and I appreciate the encouragement. Thanks again to you both and sorry it took me so long to respond. All the best. Dana...
  15. Sorry everyone, I neglected to respond back on this one. I do appreciate the comments. Raymond. Maybe chasing my tail is a better way to describe it? I am glad you liked it. David. Classic Dana is good with me. It is encouraging that some shots are recognizable as mine and I really appreciate the compliment. Fred G. It does have that womb/embryo kind of feel. Thanks again everyone and my apologies for not getting to this sooner. Dana...

Marco. Great eye. It reminds me of a cowboy cartoon character (or half of one). The contrast and graphic nature of it are really interesting. Very cool. Dana...

Rudolf. I like the recent series with the "costumes". I am particularly drawn to this one. It has your lighting style and the cape/hood and background really make the model stand out. Cool. Dana...

Timo. I agree with Jack. Without the title, it seems like an aerial photo of a forest/jungle. Way to see it. Dana...

    Abstract Portrait 2

Trisha. Thanks. I am pretty fond of this shot as well. I am really pleased to hear it made your faves list. I always consider that a pretty high honor, particularly from a photographer as thoughtful as you appear to be. All the best. Dana...

    Radiant

Trisha. Thanks for looking and commenting. I really appreciate the feedback. This was one of my first experiments with editorial fashion type work, so I took a model that I have worked with before and have a lot of confidence in her intuition. I thought the wall would look good from this perspective as a line of convergence to the model and she found the pose. In this moment she seemed thoughtful to me and that lends a bit of a story. I am also pleased to meet you and think your portfolio is fantastic. I will pay more attention in the future and try and comment as well. At first glance, I really like the interiors and shadows in a room folders. I also like the Dressing Room folder (i have a fondness for females and their stuff). The black laced boots shot is also killer. Thanks again and all the best. Dana...
