  3. Owen. It's been a while but what a lovely composition. I love how the curves are reflected in the woman and couch. Great work. Dana...

    PERSPECTIVE

Sweid. I haven't been on photonet for a while but what a great surprise. This composition is really wonderful and the grain really makes it pop. All the best. Dana...
  6. Sweid. Thank you so much for looking and the thoughtful comment. It is always my goal to see the form and movement and try and render it in a thoughtful way. I really appreciate your interpretation and am glad that it had this effect on you. All the best. Dana...

    The curtain

Mau. Beautiful and emotive portrait. All the best. Dana...
  9. John. Great as usual. I like the religious iconography and think this plays on two levels (i.e. I know what I worship). Cool. Dana...

Salvador. What Jack said..... Spectacular. The portrait is pretty darn good but is elevated by the composition and background. All the best. Dana...
  11. Sweid. It is new for me and dramatic. I love the diagonal flow culminating in that beautiful shadow. I also like the tonal range in the skin against the high contrast in the rest of the image. Very cool. Dana...

    Yellow wall

Beautiful work Jon. I love where you put the intersection of colors. The crumbling wall gives us a glimpse of the chaos underlying the facade. Really interesting work. All the best. Dana...

    At Rest

Thanks to everyone for commenting. Rudolf. Glad that you liked it. Alberto. Thanks. Aileen. Thanks for commenting and nice to meet you. I am pleased you liked it. Amy. I am so glad you are back on PN. Heather is pretty much a rock star in my opinion and very easy to work with. She makes her own interpretation of the surroundings and I try and tweek it to my vision. Sometimes the other way around. It really is a collaboration with a really interesting human being. Owen. It is good to hear from you and thanks. John. Thanks. Not to toot my own horn too much but I thought it was elegant as well and am glad you saw it that way. All the best to everyone. Dana...

    Worship

Thank you to everyone for taking the time to look and comment. Rodolf. Glad you liked it. Gabriel. Thanks. John. That's a big pat on the back coming from you. Thanks. Amy. Exactly!!!! I felt the same when I saw the set up. I asked Heather to interact with the "stump" like it was an animal or pet. This is one of many and the one I liked best. I may post some others for fun. David. The only thing that got placed was Heather. Mother nature put the rest of it there for us to play with. Glad that you liked it. All the best to everyone. I really appreciate the effort and friendship. Dana...
  25. Thanks Laura and Amy. Laura. I always find your comments interesting and you make me see my work in a different perspective. I enjoy this interaction very much. I hadn't really thought of the gradient but see it now. Your interpretation of serenity/security is at odds with my initial feeling of the photograph but that is good. I have to always remember that there is a 3 way interaction in every photo among the photographer, the subject, and the viewer. Each one is essential. I am pleased to have you as one of my viewers/critics/interpreters/friends. con carino. Amy. I agree, the lack of a face is always a bit disturbing. I think it is our first and lasting attachment to folks. I sometimes struggle with titles and the chaos of thought idea was my impression from the shoot. Trying to interpret the surroundings, the model, and my thoughts. Every shoot is a bit of chaos for me because I don't like to have too much preconceived and like the work to evolve organically from my interaction with the model. FYI. The ribbons are actually graffiti. The same graffiti that was in Kuau speaks his mind. Pretty different, right? All the best to you both. I really value the input. Dana...
