1. I agree with Robin. It might be easier to ask what camers shouldn't I buy.
2. Philosophically speaking it is possible to map 4 dimensions into 2. For example
A(w,x,y,z) |-> B(w+x, y+z)
But, as you can see, you will lose some information.
3. i have a laptop and two usb 3 flash drives for backup. I always carry 1 of the usb drives with me. This works fine for me as I don't store that many images (2800 over 4 years), not sure if it would work for you.
4. If you don't want a laptop, what I would do is
1. Buy a WD Portable Hard drive with in built SD reader (they are really small)
2. Buy as many SD cards as you think you will need - a lot of small ones is good
3. When each SD card becomes full, copy it to the WD hard drive but don't erase the source SD.
4. Use a new SD card
You now have 2 copies of each photo. Also get a good storage case for your SDs.
Of course, I you have an iphone running IOS9 and enough space on the iphone you can use that instead of the WD HD but you will need the iphone SD card reader.
5. Nelson sees the pictures as witnessing a dying art; he contrasts the "passionate anger" of Sugimoto's to Misrach's "feeling of defeat."
I'm confused. Is the dying art photography? And if so, can it be dying if it invokes feelings of anger and defeat?
6. Given photography's symbiotic relationship with technology, I'd suggest that photographers that use revolutionary technology (of the time) were revolutionaries
7. 09-07 (shot taken a couple of weeks ago)

8. I care about everyone's photography in the sense that if it disappeared I'd be disappointed.
9. @Phil S: In the digital age we still need curators & patrons. The curators are our 'contacts/friends' and the patrons are the IT guys who run the software & hardware that host our images.
10. No matter what cam I have, no one ever wants to talk to me.
11. I find it hard to believe the quality control procedures for lenses are any different from any other manufacturing process.
12. In fact, the Ricoh GR comes with crop modes for 28, 35 & 50 mm effective focal lengths all available at the touch of a button.
13. I travel a lot and, given I only shoot for the web, use mainly a Ricoh GR for daylight photography and a RX100 mk 1 for flash photography at night. I've found that the resolution of both those cameras let me crop to the extent that i'm using a cam with focal length 28-50 which is fine with me.
