  1. I repeatedly tried to get this shot with AF, but only got this result. Why would this be? I put the cursor on the people.
  2. My 620 uses up a battery in three weeks, whether I even shoot with the thing. Is this typical of the EOS series?
  3. It's a Le Coultre from 1970. 18K

    500mm

AT Lake Mohonk in 1979.....actually a 400mm lens, one of those el cheapo Spiratone numbers. Unwieldy and fragile with so-so optics. Colors decent, though.
  5. Good observations. I will cover the bit of wall by cloning the curtain. I will try to dsrken the b.g. in PS. For a model portfolio.
  6. Basic contrast in texture. Shot with Rollei 3.5F
  7. I used an Elwood years ago for everything up to 5x7. It was just okay for 35mm, but when the negs were bigger, it soared. My lens for big pics was a Kodak Ektar. For smaller negs, I had a Nikon f4 for 35mm and a Minolta enlarger lens for 6X6 cm. The enlarger itself was literally cast-iron and had a big base. I have to sell the complete set or throw it away now. If anyone in NYC is interested, let me know. Maybe even a school photo department would like it as an example of diffusion enlarging.
  8. I wonder if any of you users have done much with the Dynaron. I used it once and saw nothing great in the results, so I put it on the shelf. It couldn't compete with the Skoparon and Ultron gleaming in their cases. But maybe I should try it again. Opinions?
  9. Beautifully machined devices. A tribute to German engineering.
  10. Because of the slow film speed, I had to work from a tripod and keep the lens wide open. Fortunately, it was a Planar lens on a Rollei.
  11. Larger vf and a lever wind on the II. But for these features, the II and I are the same. OTOH, the body of the original is sleeker.
  12. Yes, indeed. Here is the P II with the Nokton normal f1.5 lens.
  13. This splendid beast handles beautifully, and best of all, it carries the 3.5 35mm Skoparon. Which I like best of the lenses for this camera. I don't recall what the film was; probably Portra 400.
  14. Indoor and out- dining available now.
