  1. A case for a Prominent works well for this, but you have to drill the bottom to get a hole for the Open button
  2. Bruce, have you used the Nokton 50 or the Skopar 50 on the Prominent? Jason Schneider used the declare the Skopar the best of all. I very much admire the Nokton. Here's a shot from it:
  3. I didn't know members could start new forums.
  4. Post the pics here when they come from the lab.
  5. I just did some Internet research. The film shortage is general in the West. Film sells out faster than the manufacturers can produce it! I foresee getting a lot more practice on mono film, which is still easy to find.
  6. What if you changed the name of Sunday Streets to Saturday Streets? In most towns, Sunday--especially in the afternoon--is dead. The very mention of Sunday in a photography forum is a drag. Now, Saturday, that means fun! What say?

    Hers & His

Old buddy, the world is overflowing with bicycle pictures. No matter how photographed, they are dead cliches. Post anything but bikes.
  8. And if these "living statues" spot a camera on you, they run over demanding payment. If you don't fork over, things get nasty.
  9. Wow. A really new idea. I have never seen a shot of a moose jumping a fence!
  10. My EOS 620 is cosmetically perfect. I mean, like new! But it eats batteries. You can have it for the price of shipping. Anyone interested?
  11. I was simplifying a bit. My XD-11 is actually a Japanese market XD like yours. It is superb. The XE, also Japanese, will have to be a beast to beat it.
  12. Minolta's XD-11 is currently my favorite Minolta, but I have an XE-7 coming from Japan. Will the XE surpass the XD? I have heard great things about this camera.
  13. I like Minolta glass so much that I've been looking for the perfect Minolta body. I have an XE coming from Japan. Maybe that will be the Grail.
  14. At South Street Seaport, early century.
  15. To be honest, the shake removal is no great shakes. It looks like oversharpening. I've had stand-alone software do a better job, and it didn't take half a day to install.
  16. Gentlemen, thank you all for your suggestions. They paid off, with several hours of work. I spoke to an Indian guy at Adobe, and he stayed with me for two hours clearing the way for the program. But just as we got near payoff, we lost the phone connection. I called back and got an Indian lady. We worked for another hour, and got the download started. When it was 22% complete, a certain lady turned off the computer! Now I tried installing from the disc while I guarded the computer. Success at last. PSE 22 runs smoothly. although it is needlessly complicated. There's going to be a long learning curve. Unless you simply must have shake removal and fog dispersal, stick with what you have.
  17. Uh, oh. Mistake here. This actually was taken with a Nikon F at 1/1000. I truly did test the FM2 at its top speed, but I haven't found the resulting shot. But I'm looking.
  18. I had a slide printed on Cibachrome in 1975. Turns out their advertising did not lie. The print, as far as I can see, is exactly the same. It wasn't stored under special conditions, but all the color is correct and intact.
  19. Hi, I need an honest number for Adobe technical support for PS. When I try to call using numbers I have found online, I am connected with scam artists in India or the Philippines. It seems like something could be done to block these charlatans.
