1.
Just copy and past the links into the text field
first three are the same image
<a href=" DSC01164 /> I cannot find the final image.
But I am scrolling your Flickr Gallery, some nice shots, Good job.
What Lens are you using

  2.
Well if you check out my Sony A99 thread above this one, you can see a Sony Full Frame using a Minolta 28mm 2.8 lens.
I can tell you that my 50mm lens is just as sharp, even sharper.
I think all Minolta lenses are fine to work on a Full Frame (just steer clear of the xi lenses, because the motor zooms in those lenses I found sometimes were not reactive.

  3.
Sounds like it's something to do with Auto-focus mode, maybe set to continuous? Try setting it to single shot. My Sony's do that on some lenses, but I am pretty sure it's got something to do with focus modes and start sensors in eye or grip. I forget now.
I remember on my A700 I could set it that if I wave around the camera the lens, it would try to focus because the grip sensor was active and cameras was set to continuous auto-focus.

  4.
When I get more time, and better subjects I will hopefully shoot some better content, but I was impressed with how the camera handled, best camera I have ever used, and fast and precise in focus and exposure so far.

  5.
This has been the first time I was able to get out and take some pictures. All Pictures were taken with Sony A99 with a Minolta 28mm 2.8 Prime Lens.
Shots were taken in Raw and processed in Lightroom, I can honestly say that apart from some cropping and sharpening, I have pretty much not adjusted anything else, and these shots are strait from the camera.
This Image was Cropped heavily.

  6.
Two things, all Minolta, Konica Minolta, and Sony lenses work on all Sony camera's. I would steer clear of the xi series lenses from Minolta, they work, but are a bit iffy with the mechanical zoom.
If you have a crop sensor camera, which is everything other than the Full Frame Sony A99, A900, A850, then all your images will have a magnification factor of 1.5. Otherwise the full frame Sony's will give you the right focal length.
That said, crop lenses (D) will be cropped on a full frame Sony, resolution is usually cut in half.
1. Yes
2. Yes
3. http://kurtmunger.com/lens_reviews_id21.html
4. D Lenses which are made for crop sensors will be limited on Sony Full Frame camera's. And Any lens on a non Full Frame camera will have a magnification factor of approx 1.5
I just bought a Sony A99 Full Frame I have plenty of Minolta Primes and they all work like a charm.

My Camera's
Konica Minolta 7D
Sony A700
Sony A65
Sony A99

  7.
I was talking to one wedding photographer up the road today who said he was going to buy the A7 and use it solely for his personal use due to its size and features. He uses Canon gear, and up to now only had a cheap canon compact for his non work use.
I then showed him my new A99 I bought yesterday. He has a play around with it in his studio for about 10 minutes and liked it very much. Although not enough to change, he then uploaded the images and had played around with them in Photoshop and was blown away by the quality.
But that said, he loves the A7 and stated he wished Canon had done something.
Yet again I have now said to a third person, all of which have been Canon Fanboys.
Welcome to Sony, and it's all the A7's doing.

  8.
I expect this forum to grow big time within the next three Months. I have a large circle of Camera Friends. They are all pretty much Canon and Nikon users.
Two have already pre-ordered the A7, one the 24MP and the other the 36MP. One uses a Canon 5D MkII and the other a Canon 7D.
It's not that they are switching system so much, it's that they are buying the body and then using the adapter to use their lenses.
I think soon this forum will be (Sony/Minolta & Nikon/Canon Lenses Forum)
I do expect to see much more postings from the A7 users.
I got my Sony A99 yesterday, the air outside is thick with smoke from the bush fires all over the state, and my nose is running like a waterfall because of that crap in the air. So I have yet to take any images of any significance to post, because feel awful lol.

  9.
Mark, A-mount will be alive and well, which is why Sony went to the effort of creating adapters to these new camera's that can use all current A-Mount lenses.
These Camera's are Game changers, and Nikon and Canon should be worried.
The mirror-less market is pretty much dominated by Nex series camera's. And now Sony adds two full frame camera's that now not only take new quality Ziess lenses as well as all older Nex Lenses, but they can also wear all A-Mount lenses as well.
Sure Canon and Nikon will have the Pro market. But Sony is going for everyone else.
The people that will turn to this camera are the ones who went and bought a Full Frame Nikon or Canon, and even crop sensor DSLR's and have come to realize that they don't want to carry around such a big thing.
Enter Sony with Full frame small camera's that can accept via adapter a crap load of lenses from many different brands.
These Camera's are a game changers. And I think this forum might have more and more people.
That said my Tax cheque came through today, and most likely tomorrow I will be getting the A99.

  10.
Either way I am happy, because every time I tried to bid on a good condition Minolta 28mm F2.8 on ebay with shipping, it's always ended up around the $200 plus mark, so I stopped early in the bidding once the lens by itself without shipping got over like $120.
The Keh bought Minolta 28mm with 'shipping' cost me $128.95 (That's not including the 50mm 1.7 which cost me $79.) The 50mm on ebay for an excellent condition usually goes for just over $100, so combined I am pretty happy, especially the price for that 28mm lens.

  11. I bought them together, and $40 was just the normal fed ex delivery to Australia, if I wanted faster delivery than it would

of cost $60. That said I already got the tracking details and should arrive around Wednesday, maybe Tuesday. So about

3-4 days delivery to Australia via courier.

  12.
Has anyone had experience getting stuff from http://www.keh.com
I bought two Minolta Prime Lenses to couple with my soon to be purchased Sony A99 due to the fact they are Not D lenses made for crop sensors, so I can take full advantage of full frame. As I only have two current lenses in my kit that are not D lenses that the Sony A99 can take full advantage of.
I purchased a 28mm 2.8 rated at EX+ and another 50mm 1.7 rated at EX+ (as I already have a 50mm with my other camera's.)
My question is based on the ratings, EX+ is suppose to be "Excellent Plus" 90-96% of original condition. Exceptionally nice. May have slight wear on finish but visible only under close inspection. Glass very clean.
Are they pretty accurate with the ratings?
Delivery for $40 seems a bit steep compared to say a good ebay deal, but I do like this one stop shop for previously used gear.
