I have bought plenty of lenses that look new from KEH that are 20 plus years old.<br> I would not worry, that camera is rated for like 350,000 shots before it is likely to be serviced. And maybe can go well over 600,000 shots before anything might likely happen.<br> It's not going to affect the image quality, if something was going to fail it usually does it early on, since he shot 1000 images in the 5 years he had it, I think the electronic's will likely fail before the actual shutter does.</p>

<p>I had an A65, now A99. The A65 has the same sensor as the A77, so image quality wise you will see no difference. The A77 is bigger and more robust, which accounts for the increase in price. <br> In reality the A77 has a few more bell and whistles, but I doubt you will miss any of them.</p>

<p>I never see the image stop moving on any of the camera's. <br> Just expect the you will have 2 - 2.5 stops in hand. It's easy to review, just view the image then zoom in on the LCD to check sharpness.</p>

To each their own, the body is one thing but camera lenses will play a part, and either way if you want quality all brands have quality lenses and you will have to pay for it. People will ramble on that canon and Nikon lenses are more readily available and that might be the case, but when it comes down to quality optics for each focal range, all brands are capable in their lenses.

<p>I do not think you can do this, I have tried on mine and not found a way.</p>

<p>Do a reset to factory defaults in the settings, if it was second hand maybe someone was playing around with settings. And did some colour shifts. Thus the reset will put all those settings back to default.<br /> Also I never worry about picture modes, You want to shoot landscapes, then put the camera lens around F11 and use low ISO.<br> As for the second issue, does the car look red on the LCD on the camera, could it be your monitor? That said some camera's seem to do this, I cannot recall having the issue on my A700, will have to check.</p>

If you already had the A77, I would not bother, having the A99 I would though consider getting it as a backup camera, but I don't have the money.

<p>It does help, as long as you are willing and able to hold the heavier camera. I personally would use Sony grips, but then again 'some' third party ones I have heard good thing, and others I have heard bad things.</p>

<p>Randy, when I do my street photography I always tend to saturate the colours, it reminds me of books from the 60's, 70's and 80's that had saturated photo's of people and places. <br> Thus when you see many of my photo's they are rich in colour. I tend to desaturate portraits of people though.<br> FYI, the Camera and lens went on my credit card, and that is still being paid off, lol. (I have no regrets.)</p>

My third party batteries do, never had an issue, what type did you buy?

Randy, I printed out some 8x12 images at the photo lab and honestly they are just as good as my a99 at that size, crisp and sharp. I should say I am happy to see when I go out walking at tourist destinations in my city that I am seeing plenty of Sony cameras in people's hand, mainly the mirror less type, but I saw two people with the HX50V which is the older model of mine. It is a great street camera. Especially now I can carry it around all the time.
