Hi Marco, I have tweaked the saturation and contrast! The whole road was covered in whatever this is (maybe diesel) it was a real mess.

Gareth.

Hi Marco, thanks for stopping by and leaving nice comments.
I spend too much time on Flickr these days, I will try and log in here more often.
A belated happy new year to you!

Gareth.

I got this image using candles and remote flash. Any tips or
suggestions for improvement? Many thanks if you take the time to
look.

Hi Mike, I'm not too keen on the lighting you have done (I wanted the stark contrast) but I do like the crop. Taking out the sky makes a big difference. I will be heading back to the raw file for a re-edit!

Gareth.

Contrasting early morning light. Thanks for looking.

Hi Mike
It took me a while to get this as I wanted it, but I'm happy with the result.

Hi Mike thanks for looking
It was a VERY windy day, I had to lie on my back to get this as I could barely stand up right. My jacket got covered in mud! The things we do.

Ha Ha I can imagine you have Mike.
This was a rush job, I stopped the car, grabbed the camera with whatever lens was on it (18-105 kit) ran across the road and took 3 shots. I was back in the car within one minuet. Should have changed out to a wide angle and got the full rainbow but I was blocking traffic.
I sent it in to the local newspaper and they printed it as the weeks 'Big Picture' a full two page spread in the middle of the paper. So not too bad!

Hi Mike
We were out early for this one, we didn't plan before hand but ran into another guy who had an APP on his ipad which showed where the sun would rise. Very handy!
I now have the same app on my phone!
Thanks for stopping by my friend, I really should come on here more but I get carried away with flickr.
Best regards Mike
Gareth.

Hi Mike, I super glued mine to 2.8 although the exif shows f/2.

Hi Mike
I love this lens, it was well worth the money! I'm glad I got the 2.8 version too instead of the new f/4 offering, i'm considering a convertor to go with it too.
I'm not over keen with the background in this image, might have been better getting down real low and shooting against the sky.
Thanks for looking

Hi Mike
I was just messing around with the sunlight, I had to crop the original a bit to get rid of a few distractions, but left the post on the lower right as a bit of an anchor.
Best regards...

Thanks Mike, I needed f/7 to get enough DoF on the small boy. Siekou is a colourful character, he sings to people as they walk by.
Best regards my friend.

Hi Mike, this was just a bit of fun messing around with different angles and lighting. 'The Stig' is off Top Gear a UK motoring TV program.

Hi Mike, PN seems to gather the exif incorrectly a lot. I don't know if there is anything I can do about it. At least Flickr gets that bit right!
This image is part of the window display of the world famous 'Betty's Tea Rooms' in Harrogate.
Thanks for stopping by

Hi Mike, it was quiet on this occasion so no pushing and shoving! You do get some strange looks photographing the underground but as I don't get on it often I took the opportunity.

Hi Raymond
Many thanks for the comments, it was fairly quiet on this occasion. The angle was an experiment and I'm glad it paid off.

Hi Marco, it was nearly pitch black I couldn't see much and had to rely on the camera to do most of the work!
Thanks for stopping by
