Hi Mike, the heat was ideal.
The kids were toasting marshmallows and I was experimenting with shutter speed, a pleasant way to spend an evening.
Kind regards

Hi Mike, without this 'winter food' that fine steak you enjoy would be rather rare!
Great lizard by the way.
All the best
Gareth.

Another bale of straw ready for storage.

Wonderfully atmospheric image. Venice is on my bucket list for sure.

Interesting idea Jon, I will give it a go. Thanks for the time.

Hi Mike
I'm not happy with this image, there is too much noise. I increased iso to avoid using flash so I didn't get flash reflections off the shiny surfaces. I need to find some time to work on noise reduction in post. Maybe tomorrow!

Hi Mike, this is actually the ceiling of Kings Cross Station in London. I have mucked around with the original image though, to start with it is inverted and I tweaked the contrast and saturation a little.
Thanks for looking

This shot was a mistake, I had just come outside after shooting
inside without the use of flash and took this shot immediately. I didn't
delete it and after viewing on the computer half liked the image. Any
opinion is appreciated. It was a rainy day and this same scene shot
at the correct exposure was as dull as ditch water.

Hiya Mike, I like my little 35mm but I keep forgetting about it. I guess you are the same when you remember a lens you haven't used for a while. You have much more choice than I do though!!

Hi Mike, thanks for the comments.
We had planned this trip in advance but it all went wrong because of the weather. Just means another trip sometime so can't complain too much.

Hi Mike, this lens is awesome, mind you for the price it should be!
Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Gregory
I was hoping somebody would point out the horizon. I saw the mistake after posting and decided to leave it, I have a corrected print but you have done slightly better with highlight control than I did. I have lots to learn about PP but it seems never enough time.
Thank you for your comments and time.

Gareth.

Hi Mike thanks for the comments.
The guy was being a pratt and not helping at all. The girl spent ages putting on her life jacket before getting on the boat.

Hi Mike, thanks for stopping by.
I did a quick conversion to mono just for fun but I still prefer the colour.
Best regards
Gareth.

Hi Ruud, many thanks for the visit.

Hi Warren, I still think he could have given his hand for balance.
Thanks for the comment.

This guy was more interested in his ice-cream than helping his girl
get on the boat.
I like all the blue but should it be black and white?

Beautiful work, the light on her face is exquisite.

Nice action shot Marco but may I suggest a nice big 300mm lens next time and keep out of harms way!! I keep meaning to get some harvest shots too. Maybe this has inspired me.
Best regards
Gareth.

Nicely caught moment Ruud! Not too safety conscious though.

Hi Mike, many thanks for the encouraging comments. I too thought the mix of colours was appealing.

Hi Mike, thanks for the pointers. This was very much a rush job, I swung the lens and hit the button hoping I would get a shot.
