Well shot and well presented my friend.

Limiting the dynamic range (a levels control) provided the necessary contrast between shadows and full Sun light. The brightest section of this image boarders on saturation, but the lighting effect on the top of the woman's hair is a nice accent to this scene.

Out of curiosity, I did adjust the levels a bit to obtain a different impression of an ally way.

Like so many images with shadows, much can be done to set a "mood" for an image.

Technically, the use of camera/lens are spot on, using the zoom lens setting at F/2.8 .

Hi Mike, I'm not too keen on the lighting you have done (I wanted the stark contrast) but I do like the crop. Taking out the sky makes a big difference. I will be heading back to the raw file for a re-edit!

As I always have said, once you get a good image, as you did initially, then there are many possible presentations that can made.

I changed the lighting a bit. It is easy to go darker, too. My goal here was not to go too dark, but to preserve the structure of the walk way in the lighted areas in the foreground (left side).
