Well, I was about to congratulate you on the wonderful skin texture of the back when it opened from the thumbnail I I realized it is sand, so I guess I'd definitely say I agree with Jack on this one. Subtle, beautiful. Amy

It just works. That blue band of sky seems very important. I'm glad you included it. Amy

Catenary

Lots to like about this one, Mark: the vibrant color, the game of jump-rope, sans kids, and the painted over graffiti (which my curiosity strains to view); all grounded by that wonderful grass). I just want to keep looking. Amy
5. I like the thumbnail, I really like it big. Amy
6. This is our world, now. And yes, I agree that you do get some wonderful work with your mobile device. I like the subtle use of selective color here. Amy

Sweet Rebecca

Gail, this is a lovely floral with that strong romance vibe. I'm not a plant person, so I didn't know it's name until now. These are very beautiful and you present them well. Amy

Lannie, thanks for your kind words. I am glad you like it. Jack, thanks for the follow-up impression. "Mysterious" came up a couple of times. I hadn't myself thought so much about that aspect before reading critiques; thanks for pointing that out. Amy
9. Mark, Marco, and Dana: thank you for sharing your impressions. Mark, I want to thank you for the critique: it did encourage me to go back and try a new approach. Though I still like this one darker (the blotchiness just bothers me too much), it is good to have different takes of a piece of work. I think it can be difficult to give an honest critique, especially if there is constructive criticism involved. Thank you so much for sharing your impressions with such a helpful spirit. Marco, thank you was well. I like the landscape/body idea very much. Dana, I alway appreciate your input, especially in this genre, since you do a lot of work with nudes. To me it is important to do respectful and artful work in this area. Your work is always a fine example of that and you are very inspirational.
10. Totally missed that. Even better.
11.
This is an interesting discussion, and I enjoyed the articles.
I find it interesting that MM had so much control over the use of her image, considering the comparative under-payment. I'm certainly no expert on the movie industry, but it is my impression that all business industries are primarily about the bottom line; often the art that makes the very industry possible often takes a back seat. I see it in healthcare and hear of it in many other areas as well. It's too bad that a sensitive human will get "chewed up" by a system unless they are very savvy at all times. Even then, fame is not said to be easy.

12. You had mentioned the black sections on the columns in the color version of this shot. I think they are much more obvious in the BW. They make a perforated line that almost goes completely across the center of the photo. Did you purposefully have them on a straight line/ i.e. level or is that just a happy accident? Very cool. Amy
13. Macabre, indeed; but very effective. Wow. At risk of sounding overly effusive: your work is blowing me away. Great stuff. Amy
14. A fine tribute to our feet, who do so much for us. Amy
15. Almost shrouded, but hanging on and pushing it back. What wonderful, important work you are doing! The whole cycle of caring for others and them giving back in beautiful, unexpected ways is always gratifying to witness. Much respect to you for doing this work. Amy
16. As always, I love seeing things through your eyes, Jack. There must never be a dull moment in your mind. LOL @ Mark. Amy

22. Thanks, Lannie and Drew. No, Lannie, but he is often in his favorite thread-bare robe. Amy
