1. Again, the sky manages to be the subject here. Makes one weary of the city, just like we are longing to breathe. Amy
2. Lannie, is this PS enhanced or is this the Carolina Blue one hears about? The sky is the subject of this piece to me. The other color is nice, but it is the sky that keeps drawing my eye. Amy

Secret language

This one seems musical to me tool. There's something lilting about it. Amy

I really like where you chose to place the borders. It does lend itself to look like a musical score or lined paper. Amy

Campbell's

One can't help but think of Warhol when you see this, but you did him one better....:-)

Sis in her study

Love the "pop" of red. Amy
7. This is a beautiful rendition of a floral. This, like many other of your works makes me think of stained glass. You captured the delicacy of the orchids beautifully here. Amy

Wimbledon.....

Interesting processing Drew. The paint roller made look again and threw me off from the title, and then there are the other details that one sees after looking closely. Definitely a different (and good) piece. Amy
9. Okay, this is the last version. I was unable to get a satisfactory version with the added exposure. I'm thinking version II is the one I like the best, but here is the one that has more light.

11.
I was able to get on the site briefly a couple days ago, but I was unable to get into any of the discussion sites. I tried the beta test PWs I was sent and also my regular sign-on information. The site wound up freezing and I was unable to close it. I eventually had to totally close Safari to escape. I haven't tried further as of yet today, but I did want to report this. I'm running MAC OS X.
The images are very clear and snappy looking, but I haven't had time to explore ease of use yet. I was hoping for a tutorial on navigation (it may be there and I haven't yet found it).

12. Dana, this one took my breath away-it's going into my favorites. The way she is merging (or emerging, I can't decide) with/from the wall is fascinating. I am always impressed by your level of creativity and this one is one of your best in that regard I think. This piece was obviously created and not found. The blood red of the paint, the title, the rock seemingly spit from the mouth of "Kaua" are all interesting details.Of course, your model is beautiful. Thank you for sharing such interesting work here. Amy

RECLINING NUDE II

Better? I added a bit of grain and adjusted the tone curve slightly. Amy

Thanks to you all for your input. You have sufficiently encouraged to me return to LR and see what I might accomplish regarding the light. Part of the reason for the painterly feel and the softness I'm sure has to do with the processing in my attempts to get rid of noise. It may take me a bit to work on this, there's sure to be some learning involved. I'll post a second version if I get something I like. Amy

The white sheep.

This one really stands out between him being white and the highlighted position in the field. Good eye to catch this. Amy

Dutch animals... 231

As already mentioned, the opposite directions of the dog and girl are interesting. Like the childhood game: "On your mark, get set, GO!" Amy
18. I don't know why, but I get the feeling that you've come down the hill and have turned back, looking and waiting for your hiking buddy to catch up. Maybe it's the tilt of the horizon, I don't know. In any case, there's a McRitchie spin to this nature shot. Amy

Reclining Nude

Thanks all for the feedback. Mark, after reading your thoughts, I did go back to LR and bump the exposure a bit. Sadly the original just has too much noise for it to work. The exposure is as shot, and I had to do quite a bit of LR adjusting in the "Detail" section to get the noise minimized to this point. I do agree it is a bit dark (I think dark is good in this one, but maybe not quite so much). Anyway, I very much appreciate all of your comments/critiques. Amy
20. Thanks all. I,too, liked the light- so much that I said: "Go stand over there, and look commanding". (Well at least part of that is true). Anyway, thanks for your comments. Amy

Cracked sky

I'm late to the party, but I still wanted to say that this one is very nice: well-seen, great placement in the frame. It's a shot that many would have literally walked right past. I like the interpretations that others have given. I hadn't articulated that in my mind, but reading them, I say "yeah, that's it". I also really like the muted palette. Amy
