This Magpie was feeding on Birdseed fallen from a dish hanging above him in the tree. He kept his beady eyes on me and also on my cats!

This little Hawk caused quite a commotion amongst my cats when it swooped in this morning! Haven't seen him before, and by the time I grabbed my camera and shot off a few quick photo's he was gone. Hope he comes back sometime so I can have another chance to grab a better shot!

This Goshawk is another rarity in my garden, I don't know what brought him in but he certainly gave my cat's a scare. They ran for cover when he arrived and it was this commotion that brought me running outside camera in hand, I had very little time in which to catch a half decent shot before it took off again!

Another visitor this morning. This Raven tends to scare off the smaller birds. I have a family of these characters visit me daily for a drink from my retic and a bit of a roost on my roof.

Not a great shot, this Red Capped Parrot visits my garden rarely and when it does it is very shy so this was taken very hurriedly against a very bleak sky. He is a juvenile, when he's older his whole head will be red!

Thank you Ralton, your comments most welcome and I will look out for the book you mention.

Beautiful shot Grayham, her skin tones appear spot on. A little distracted by the red on the right above her ear. An Hibiscus flower perhaps?
Kind regards Louise

Hi Michelle
I agree with Sam with regards to photographing wildlife, never predictable! However I think your composition here is really very good. The space on the right of the rabbit gives a sense of space, as if he's looking into it or about to "bolt" away somewhere.
Best regards

HI Grayham, although the face is in half shadow, for me the image is all about her "eyes" they really shine for me. I really like this image.

Monte your bird shots never cease to amaze me! The background colour is so in tune with the owls colouring and you have caught him in such a great pose with head just tilted to give more interest to the shot. Love it!

Kent this is a great capture. I love the dof and also the crisp clarity of the Herons feathers. Lastly those few drops of water off his beak. Fabulous shot. Regards Louise

Hi Philip
Thanks for your observations. I am having trouble with my monitor at the moment, I don't seem to see what others do! and I've just had my eyes checked out A OK!

Hi Max, as long as you are having a great time and learning about your camera, that's all that matters! Enjoy this new hobby of yours.

Not technically a very good photo, but I loved the way these two
pelicans were staring in the same direction.
Advice and or comments would be welcome.
Thanks. Louise

Hi Geoge, I agree with Alf's observations about this shot, but I love the old tree and am amazed how the coloring of Owl and tree stump are so similar. This shot really caught my eye.
