    The Early Bird

          7

    Welcome to PN Michelle

You have some wonderful bird images and will learn a lot from some of the guys on this site. I agree with all that has been said by Grayham and others so can only say, keep enjoying.

    Regards

    Louise

  1. This beautiful Indian Ringneck Parakeet has obviously escaped captivity

as he is not native to Australia.

The three photo's in this folder were taken this morning whilst I was

enjoying my first cuppa of the day in my back garden. He visits daily for

fruit and seed I leave out for him. He obviously lives in a tree nearby as I

can hear him chortling most of the day. He's a delight to have around!

The pics are better enjoyed large. I hope you like them.

    Thanks for looking

    Hi Rassie

Zebra are a favorite of mine but I find it hard to get a good capture, for some reason I personally find the stripes off putting when trying to focus.

Yes, this is out of focus, but a nice capture all the same.

    Best regards

  2. Hi Gail

Thanks so much for your kind comment on my Pelican. Two or three of these chaps were circling overhead. I thought my head my spin off as I swiviled my neck around and around to try to get a good shot!

Yes, thanks, I am feeling much better at the moment. Finished with Chemo and Radiation and just waiting until June when I have all my tests again and get my clearance. Feel a bit like I'm treading water at the moment, but great to have some energy back. I certainly hope you stay well as I enjoy looking at your photo's a lot.

    Kind regards

    Hi Melody

Welcome to PN. I hope you enjoy your time on this site, there is so much to learn and some great people to give you advice.

This is a lovely shot and I wonder what it would be like if you cropped a bit tighter so that we could see more of the detail on the Corella's faces.

    Happy shooting.

    Regards

  3. Hi Melody,

Thanks for your comments. Yes, I have since realised that my original titles of "cockatoo" is incorrect and I must get around to renaming them! They are quite a big bird to be called "little" are'nt they?

I like your crew in the park, they look a happy bunch! My crew come and wake me each morning and are usually in the trees in my back garden when I get home from work each afternoon. They really are characters, and watching couples together is really lovely. They groom each other so lovingly, it's a delight to watch.

    Thanks again for looking.

    regards

  4. Hi Mike

Thanks for your comments, your re-working of the image is great! Grayham also had a play and developed the colors more. We've decided that my "eye" is off slightly !!!

    Best regards

Panos, I have just browsed your portfolio...you have some fantastic shots. I don't normally comment on professional photographers but I share your love of wildlife and believe we must conserve what little is left of it.

    Best regards

    Hi Arup

A very pleasing shot, but I must agree with Bernie, I'd like to see the photo lightened a little.

Love the wharthogs on the far bank!

    Regards

    Louise
