I have since visited your portfolios and really really like your Natural World and this photo in particular. Very clever composition and nice framing. Best regards Louise

As mentioned with my other "Wild" Animal" shots, most were taken at
the zoo. I would love to know how better to blur the bars etc?
Any suggestions? Thanks Louise

Hi Charles, a very elegantly composed shot, great contrast!

Another colourful visitor to my garden. I've been trying for ages to get a
1/2 decent shot of these guys. This is about the best so far??
Thanks for looking

If only this Snow Leopard had opened his eyes for me....I could have sat and waited all day, but others had me hurrying...oh well. Next time I go on my own!

George, I love everything about this shot. Oh, how I wish I was there! Great composition and clarity. I'm adding it to my favorites.

Last time we were in this park we saw a family of Kookaburras but I didn't have my camera with me (slaps..) Coming back today (with camera) and this was the only Kooka home! A soft fuzzy shot, but it works for me.

Picnicking with my partner on a lazy Tuesday afternoon, the stunning colour on this Swamphen had me reaching for the camera.

Best viewed larger. I couldn't resist this gathering of different Ducks and the odd man out - The Straw Necked Ibis. Not the greatest shot, but a peaceful idyll....

Hi Grayham
Thanks for your comments. I agree, these birds have a mixed plummage on their heads which does not lend itself to being photographed clearly. The black and red around their beaks is undefined and having black eyes its difficult to get a nice bright eye. I was quite happy with this one of many, many attempts!
Kinf regards

Hi Grayham
What a lovely capture. The contrast between bird and soft background is very nice indeed. This little Honeyeater looks as if he is posing just for you.
Well done.
Kind regards Louise

There are places on this planet that I will never get the opportunity to visit so my chances of photographing some animals in the wild are minimal! Therefore, I couldn't resist a visit to Taronga Park Zoo in Sydney recently. Taronga is a beautiful zoo with tasteful and eco friendly displays, I highly recommend a visit. My shots in this series are mostly through toughened perspex so I am quite pleased with them would appreciate your thoughts and input for improvement. Regards Louise

This Otter was really relishing the prawn he was munching on. I just loved the contrast between the grays and the startling pink of the prawn!
