  1. It was getting quite dark and I was hand holding. I wish I had gotten out the tripod so I could have increased my depth of field a little. I'd like the dog to be more in focus. Please let me know what you think.

  3. I loved the building and roof, but the sky was bland so I added just a touch of a painterly effect to this.

    THE BOKEH OF SPRING.

I love the square crop with the diagonal running through it. And the colors are vivid and stunning. Very artistic!
  6. When I was in Grenada I certainly didn't see anything like this! Thanks for posting!

    Grunge 21

I agree with Sarah.....a very successful outcome.

Thanks so much for your constructive comments. I can certainly clean up the armpit, which I should have noticed. As for the black thing.....well, that was actually a leather vest, a garment that was part of her outfit, so it wasn't coming off. :-) You can't tell it here, but it was actually kind of cute.
  9. I took a fashion workshop, mostly to learn about lighting. They hired models, and I'll be posting some of my images of them over the next few days. Now I know people are either going to love or hate the red background. I liked it against her reddish- brown hair, but I can take it if you absolutely hate it. I'd love your thoughts.

    Snail pace

hmmm.....he's looking a little er....sluggish! Good use of flash!
  17. I always have trouble in mottled light like this. You've handled the shade versus bright spots well, and I'll bet there is a story behind this old bike. Well done!
  18. Beautiful! I wonder if this is typical of most gardens in France (except at the palaces), in that they are more informal without as much design to them. Or the design is looser at least. This is a beautiful space and a lovely capture.

    Smoker (India)

A very poignant and telling image. Fantastic lighting and brilliantly exposed and captured.
  20. I think the viewer can conjure up several stories to accompany this image. I like the Orton effect and the slightly saturated colors....both work well for me. I like the woman's posture with her face obscured, which makes your title work particularly well.

    Bursting

A beautiful effect, and I think the perfect amount of zoom applied.

Good eye and cool shot. Reading the 'Salmon Bay Foundry' on the grate sparked my interest so I looked it up. You might find this interesting: http://www.ballardnewstribune.com/2015/04/16/features/edmonds-man-recalls-working-salmon-bay-foundr

    NOOOO

Personally, I'm not fond of cats (I'm a dog person), but I DO love your shot! Great timing!
