  1. Stunning! One of your best! You should print this big!
  2. Taken last winter in Indiana in 20 below degree weather.
  3. Taken in the midst of terrible smoke in the air due to the fires this past summer in Glacier National Park.....Many Glacier area.
  4. I love doing intentional blurs. This one is a bit darker and gloomier than most of my others. I'm curious to know how this appeals to everyone. Thanks!
  5. Glacier in Prince William Sound, Alaska

  9. Bill & Patsy, thanks! There were plenty of places with solid vivid fall colors, but I kind of liked the dead trees mixed in with these colors.
  10. Let me know if you do. We go there often. Be sure you plan to stay long enough to 'experience' it. The Palouse is a magical place when you really get to know it. Thanks, Tony!
  11. Patsy.....yes, lucky for you you're so close. I don't get there often enough. Thanks! Alf.....I can 'hear' the expletives! Yes, sometimes as photographers we have to go to 'Plan B'. Story of my life.... :-) Thanks, Alf!
  12. Well, you know I love to do blurs, and I did several on my Smokies trip.  But once when I was doing a vertical blur from the car (waiting in a bear jam), Norm started forward in the car.  That created a bit of a sideways blur, and I liked the result.  So I started intentionally doing both motions.  Much harder than just the vertical blurs, but I kind of liked this one.  But if you only knew how many I delete in the process of trying to get one good one!  Give it a try!
  13. Thanks!  I worked hard for this shot.  I so badly wanted the water running, but the mill was closed due to construction.....which meant I had a bunch of construction equipment to clone out.  What a disappointment.  But I was bound and determined to get a picture of Mingus, which I had never done.  All things considered I was pleased with how it turned out.
  14. Wow, that was a fast response!  For some reason I can't even see the loaded image, but your comment appeared anyway.  So I can't see what it looks like.  I'm getting increasingly frustrated now that I'm loading images for stock.  They look like I process them, but the images I load here on Photo.net never look right.  I wish I wouldn't have to 'guess' at how saturated or sharp to make them.

  21. Wonderful hockey series! All of them are excellent. This is probably my favorite tho'. It tells more of a story with the commentators and spectators, and there is a great sense of the action. Great work!

    On the red carpet!

Smart of you to move this little guy to a more pleasing background.  This is a stunning shot!  The blur doesn't bother me in the least.  There's something about the round circular shapes contrasting with the diagonal veins in the leaf and the stunning color....I really love this!

    Eyes

Mike, Alberto and Warren, Thanks gentlemen!  We had so much fun playing around in the studio.  Julia has the most amazing eyes I've ever seen, so I wanted to do something to accentuate them even more.  I appreciate your comments!
  24. Indiana is in tornado 'alley', so we're used to seeing skies like this.  But I never think to photograph them.  This is excellent, and I like that you've included a little of the roof as well.
