  1. I've been traveling and haven't been back to check here. Thanks to all of you for your appreciation of this image! I almost didn't post it because I didn't think the subject matter was all that compelling, but I did like the lighting, and I see that you did also. Thanks!
  2. Sometimes the natural elements come together so perfectly, as they did here. But you masterfully captured them. Beautiful work!
  3. Just loved the way the early morning light was hitting this cat. Would love your comments. Thanks!

  5. With all the other boats blurred and obviously moving during your long exposure, I'm surprised the big boat in the foreground is so sharp. The effect of both sky and water is impressive! If this were mine the only thing I would do (and you may not agree) is to slightly lighten the black bottom of the boat so as to distinguish it a bit from the water. Small picayune detail, but that's probably what I would do. Sorry I've been away from PN for awhile. I retired and we're on a long RV trip.....much of the time without cell phone or Internet coverage. :-)
  6. Would love to have this hanging on my wall! It evokes nearly every sense in my body and is simply a stunning image!
  7. I'm not usually a fan of this technique, but I like it here. You know how to use it tastefully, and it creates a 'sparkle' to the flowers. Nicely done!
  8. Beautiful spread and table, beautifully captured!
  9. I'll be loading several pictures of the Palouse region of eastern Washington. This area is rich rural farmland, and it's a hugely photographic area. They primarily grow wheat, lentils and garbanzo beans, and the farmers groom their fields as if works of art. We love this area and are at peace here. Hope you enjoy these rural scenes.

  17. Per Wikipedia: The Murat Shrine, now officially known as Old National Centre and originally known as the Murat Temple and Murat Centre, is an entertainment venue in Indianapolis, Indiana, owned by the Murat Shriners of the Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine. It is the oldest stage house in downtown Indianapolis that is still standing, the only Shrine temple in the world with a French-originating name, and the largest Shrine temple in North America.[1][2]

  20. I've never seen a picture of them in black and white, but I rather like it. I'd like to know your opinions.
