Thanks, Pierre. Kabir's poem inspired the "painting".
  2. The unifying hues and strong composition make this exceptional. Excellent work, Gil.

“…We sense the spirit that loves birds and animals and the ants- …(but) you turned away… yourself …Now you are tangled up in others, and have forgotten what you once knew, …That is why everything you do has some weird sense of failure in it” – Kabir

  5. For some reason I chuckled. As usual a very expressive piece.
  6. The rich hues and lone tree make this a powerful and beautiful scene. Excellent work, John.

    Relief.jpg

Cropped from this image is the light of the United States lightship Relief. Lightvessels or lightships served as lighthouses where waters were unsuitable for regular light house construction. Here, decommissioned and appearing abandoned at a terminal in the Oakland Estuary, The Relief (designated a National Historic Landmark) serves as a “floating classroom” and for me an interesting painting.

  9. Thanks, Pierre. The orange color was my exaggeration of the actual sunset.

Time is a bridge suspended between the memories of the past and an imaginary future. Time is now.

  13. Through holes in the network of orange steel, sunsets inscribe mandalas and winds create tones in frequencies of 354, 398, 439 and 481 Hz at The Golden Gate Bridge. The bridge also has the reputation of being the most used suicide site in the world. (Departing souls leave holes too.)

It has been my experience that to make this quality of portrait requires the artist to have a special rapport with the subject. Excellent work, Pierre.

Your design and limiting the palette to one hue work wonders here. Brilliant work, Evgeni.

Thanks, Pierre. To quote one of my favorite philosophers, "It takes time and a lot of effort to not know".

    astral-light.jpg

There is a place along the Spree in Berlin where the glass facade of facing buildings mingle the light/vibration of both people and things and reflections of people and things. There, all appear sentient and alive. (…. In the astral world beings…are entranced by the sight of all creation as exhaustless expressions of changing light. In the astral, beings smell, taste and touch light. In the astral, beings precipitate all objects and experiences as forms of light or condensed thoughts or dreams.” - narrative of Sri Yukteswar in “Autobiography of a Yogi”.

"...Everything has its own special inner character, its own karma of “life in time..." from The Three Pillar of Zen. Brilliant reveal, Evgeni.
