I pondered the "how" -- and even "why?" -- of this for a while, but then decided to just, well, not! Instead, I decided to zero in on the concept ... and like it. Definitely found it interesting. Good for you for going after it and putting it out there.

Tony, I cannot contribute a whole lot more than what so many of the others have said, as I concur with much of what they say and share many of those reactions and sentiments about this work. You know how much I enjoy your abstracts; the colors often are what make them winners, and here they are brilliant.

For a moment I thought this was another of your HDR projects. I echo what some of the others have said: Nice subject and angle for this. The shadows helped guide with that, I suppose, huh?
-
Tony, I so admire your mathematical abstracts, and like this one, you often find such interesting, winning color schemes to crown their beauty. Very, very nice.

Richard, long time ... I've been away on other projects for quite a few months and haven't been able to check in. I saw this image in your "new" file and had to drop a note of commendation. I agree pretty much 100% with what Chris H said above. A remarkable job with the forefront subject. Very beautiful textures on the canoe wood and the light bronze tint in the sky offers a splendid complement. I also agree that the sky could stand a trim, which ... as Chris noted ... will only make this canoe a more powerful subject in your image.

Not sure if I followed how or why you would have received any criticism on this ... it's another beauty. The contrast of the well-defined, color-rich and contrasty foreground against the antithesis background is stunning.

Light contrast makes this such a dynamic capture. Love the drama you captured here.

Gorgeous color drama against those mountains. Great composition.

Picture postcardesque ... artfully splendid. Well done.
-
Nice title for this ... a Hadleyesque neo-abstract!
-
Another splendid conceptual ... and the sparkling diamond makes for an excellent accent.

Great moment captured here. I bet the bride (and the bridesmaids) loved this one.

Very nice effect with this, Tony. Your abstract eye and skills are sharp as ever.
-
Attention-getting concept, Tony. I like it.

I see your abstract eye was at work when you saw this opportunity, Tony. Nice shot.

Ron, this image was my introduction to your work. I quickly skimmed through your portfolio just to see if you delved a lot into these fine-art images, and I see that you do. I like the "look" of this and the others in your gallery, probably because I have a fondness for impressionist paintings, and I look forward to going go through your portfolio more leisurely when I have time in the very near future. As for this particular image, I'm struck by how the soft blossoms stand out amid the graceful foliage, tree branches and sky tapestry. I admire your eye for these visuals, and I look forward to enjoying others in the future.

It IS very beautiful, picturesque. Fine composition, from the framing to the color spectrum to the skyscape.

Generally, I like this composition a lot. Wonderful framing; beautiful, flattering and perfect contrast tones and lighting; and the subject's pose is captivating. The one thing that bothers me is the bright spot in the upper right. Part of me wanted to accept it as a balancer of sorts, the other part finds it distracting. It seems to be something that could be removed easily with erasure software. Did you try that and weigh the merits of both?

Bob, I really like this composition. Classic thirds ... This capture really supports the power, wisdom and artistic beauty of that approach. Brilliant, riveting sky effect on one side countered by the darkened walkway and pedestrians. The pond vignette on the bottom left adds an interesting touch. Very nice job here.

Beautiful composition, focus and capture. Very interesting study of lines, light/shade, reflection and contrast in the focal center.

Delightful! Reminiscent of a Rockwell painting.

I like this image a lot. It makes for a great study.
I don't dislike the halo around the tall trees at left ... nor do I object to the green detail in the grass, though I do understand your concerns about whether they're appropriate.
I rationalize the halo as being part of the elevated lumination symmetry along the treetops from left to right. I find it pretty neat, actually. I don't mind the alternative with the halo burned in, as Mike presented for you. But again, I don't dislike this version, either.
